Lets face it, having a sit down feast everyday for all three main meals while visiting the Disney parks doesn’t always work out. You may find yourself rushing to get out of each restaurant so that you can conquer all of the attractions and shows, or you may spend too much time sitting at a table waiting for your entrée instead of meeting characters or getting a front row seat to the next parade. Sitting down for every meal can also be costly, especially if you’re on a strict budget. You may choose to experience a few sit down dining options, but what is the alternative to fulfilling your hunger throughout the rest of the day? Grabbing a snack around the park is a great substitute for a light meal or hunger fighter in between dining. Not only are there a plethora of snack carts around all four theme parks, but they can also save you money and time to enjoy all of the other special things that Disney has to offer. With so many snack options to choose from, it can be hard to decide what to try out. Not to fear! Here are the top eight snacks to nibble on while visiting the Disney parks.
7. Churro
If your sweet tooth is demanding something loaded with sugar, look no further than a churro! These sticks of dough are fried to perfection and then generously tossed in loads of cinnamon sugar. Not to mention, they are super long so they will fill you up until your next snack or meal. I have had my fair share of churros, and believe me, the ones offered at Disney are number one on my favorite churro list. You can find a churro cart in all four of the theme parks at Walt Disney World.
6. Cream Cheese Pretzel
There is something about combining salty and sweet flavors that make me smile from ear to ear. I have to admit that when I first thought about trying a cream cheese pretzel, I wasn’t jumping for joy. It didn’t look extraordinary, but you know what they say, don’t judge a book by it’s cover! As soon as I took my first bite, I was hooked. There isn’t a single visit to the parks when I don’t head over to the pretzel snack carts for one of these delicious treats. The sweet cream cheese and salty pretzel combo hits the spot every time. You can find the cream cheese pretzels in select carts in all four Disney World parks.
5. Frozen Cappuccino
What is the most acquired taste of mankind? If you guessed coffee, you are correct! Coffee has evolved into so many different forms, and there is no better way to grab some caffeine than in a frozen cappuccino. To say that I am a coffee addict is an understatement, and I can honestly say this is one of the best coffee beverages I’ve ever had. Frozen cappuccinos can be found in Epcot and Hollywood Studios at select carts.
4. Turkey Leg
Close your eyes and picture the biggest turkey leg you can think of. I guarantee what you are picturing is nothing compared to the actual size of a Disney Parks turkey leg. I’m sure you have seen turkey legs on shirts, hats, magnets, and even air fresheners for your car (yes, you read that right). This is an iconic snack that sells thousands day by day and has it’s own little reputation at the parks. I can only imagine how many grams of protein each one of these monsters contains. Turkey legs are full of warm and juicy meat and due to their size; they will keep you full for hours. Even though the lines to purchase these can be quite lengthy, it is worth the wait. My only advice to you is to grab several napkins; you’re going to need them! Turkey legs are available for purchase in several carts in Magic Kingdom and select carts in the other three parks.
3. Popcorn
What can I say? This classic salty snack can speak for itself. The best part about enjoying this light and airy snack in the park is the option to put it in a seasonal souvenir bucket. Popcorn is a great snack for enjoying a parade or needing something portable without worrying about dripping or staining your clothes. Not to mention, it’s totally sharable. All four Disney parks offer popcorn for your salty cravings.
2. Mickey Ice Cream Bar
There is nothing more classic than creamy vanilla ice cream wrapped in a thick, crunchy chocolate shell. What’s the best part about this tasty treat? It’s shaped in a Mickey silhouette of course! Along with the infamous turkey leg, the Mickey Mouse ice cream bar is a staple in the parks and is available on several merchandise items such as T-shirts, magnets, and yes, even air fresheners! The Mickey ice cream bar is located in all four Disney World parks.

1. Funnel Cake
There are only a few things I would cheat my diet on that are worth the calories and fat. Funnel cakes are one of them and Disney sure knows how to serve them. I can’t tell you enough how comforting a warm and crispy funnel cake topped with creamy ice cream and mounds of powdered sugar makes me feel at the end of a Disney day. The best part about these is that you can have them in so many different ways because there are several toppings to choose from. Funnel cakes are my absolute favorite snack at the Disney parks. They can be found in the Magic Kingdom and Epcot parks, as well as the Coney-Island style boardwalk at the BoardWalk Inn resort.
