The 50th anniversary celebrations of the Walt Disney World Resort extend to all areas of the property, from the theme parks, to Disney Springs and even the resorts. We love finding out about all the new sweets and treats popping up around Walt Disney World Resort hotels just for “The Most Magical Celebration on Earth,” and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort may just have one of the best treats we’ve seen so far!

To pick up the Polynesian version of the 50th Celebration Cupcake, you’ll need to head over to Capt. Cook’s, the resort’s quick service dining location. If you are arriving from the monorail station, you’ll need to head downstairs in the Great Ceremonial House and down the hall that would take you to Trader Sam’s.

The 50th Celebration Cupcake is a vanilla cupcake with DOLE Whip center, tropical fruit salsa, and pineapple macaron, the perfect way to celebrate this fan-favorite Walt Disney World Resort hotel with a little bit of something sweet! DOLE Whips are always a favorite snack to grab while stopping by Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, so adding the concept to the 50th anniversary cupcake was a no brainer!

While at the resort, head outside to see the new addition to the Electrical Water Pageant just for “The Most Magical Celebration on Earth,” or head to your next theme park, perhaps on an EARidescent wrapped monorail or bus. And, like other Walt Disney World Resort hotels, you will also find special 50th anniversary merchandise in the gift shops, as well as limited edition refillable mugs from the resort’s quick service dining location.

Special scavenger hunts and themed pool parties are also available just for the 50th anniversary celebrations, and where the 50th anniversary cupcake is a quick grab-and-go treat, you can probably save some room to dine on a little sushi from Kona Cafe during your visit!
