Hey Disney is an all-new digital voice assistant powered by Amazon Alexa technology that will be coming to Walt Disney World resorts this year. The Disney Parks Blog just shared some new details on what Guests can expect when it comes to using the new devices to help plan their vacations during their stays at Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Here's what we know about Hey Disney so far.

Hey Disney will allow Guests to ask questions that will be helpful when it comes to getting around and finding things to do at the Walt Disney World Resort. Using Alexa technology for Amazon Echo supported devices, Hey Disney will be able to answer questions on everything from weather forecasts to park hours, while offering a variety of functions like timers and alarm clocks, and more.
In a much more magical spin from your standard Amazon Alexa, Hey Disney will share answers with Guests through a variety of voices from Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Olaf, Rocket and Groot, Princess Tiana and many more.

And, Hey Disney will help provide all of the details for individual Guest plans. Guests will be able to find helpful information on their vacation, including details for their stay at their Disney resort, along with the ability to order room amenities, learn about transportation options, and more.

Hey Disney is part of the 50th-anniversary celebration at the Walt Disney World Resort, so while no launch date has been confirmed so far, we do know that it will be rolling out at select guest rooms at Disney resorts later this year. For Guests staying at resorts that feature Hey Disney, the service will be complimentary (and optional). Hey Disney will also include special features associated with MagicBand+, with those details coming from Disney soon. And, for Disney fans at home, the service will also be available to purchase for Amazon Echo supported devices.
