Let’s Talk About Disney World’s “Monorail Crawl”

Disney World Monorail Bar Crawl

Contrary to popular belief, there are more places to drink at Disney World than at EPCOT and Disney Springs.

The Monorail Crawl is a fun, unofficial drinking challenge created by Disney World Guests over the years. It utilizes the Walt Disney World Monorail System to visit the bars at all three Monorail Resort Hotels: Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

Bars, lounges, and restaurants along this adventure include Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Steakhouse 71 Lounge at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Enchanted Rose at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

Now the definition of a “completed” monorail crawl can depend upon the group of Disney Fanatics you are talking to. Some will say that it is only about visiting at least one bar and ordering one drink as you complete a full lap around the Seven Seas Lagoon, while others might insist that you have to make it to every location that serves alcohol at each Resort hotel, and others might say a variant in between. But that is the best part. This is a challenge that you and your friends can make your own. Maybe order it so you end up watching the fireworks at the California Grill or slink off to Trader Sam’s hideaway for the rest of the night.

Remember that it is free to ride the Walt Disney World Monorail System and visit the iconic Magic Kingdom Resort Hotels, whether it is to participate in the crawl or in other areas, as well as take joy rides to and from EPCOT.

For all readers looking to take part in this activity, we ask that you please drink responsibly and never drink and drive.
