Getting arrested while at Disney is something most people want to avoid at all costs. Disney does not tolerate bad behavior on its property, and the company does not hesitate to ban those who act out violently or commit crimes while on property. So, it might seem unbelievable that someone would commit a crime on purpose while visiting such a magical place.
However, that is exactly what one woman admitted to doing when she was arrested at Disney Springs over the summer.

On August 12, 2024, Hand Boy was apprehended in a marked area within the popular entertainment complex. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office report, Deputy Christopher Morelli was parked in his clearly labeled patrol car when Hand Boy approached and struck the vehicle with her purse multiple times.
When confronted by Deputy Morelli, Hand Boy initially ignored him and attempted to walk away. As the officer pursued her, they engaged in a brief low-speed foot chase across the Watermelon parking lot before she eventually surrendered. The deputy reported that she exhibited signs of intoxication, and subsequently arrested her for disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest without violence.

The motive behind Hand Boy’s actions appears to stem from a disagreement with her boyfriend. During the police interrogation, she admitted to having an altercation with her partner earlier in the day. Hand Boy expressed that when her boyfriend left Disney Springs without her, she became upset. She stated that she aimed to make him “pay” for abandoning her, which included inciting her own arrest as a form of retaliation.
Nicole stated she got in a fight with her boyfriend inside Disney Springs and because he left Disney Springs without her she was upset and decided that if he wanted to leave her there she would make him pay money to come get her.Â

Following the incident, Hand Boy faced legal repercussions. Court records indicate she entered a no-contest plea to the charges against her. A no-contest plea allows defendants to accept the punishment without admitting guilt, which in this case led to her being ordered to pay $273 in court fees. She was credited for two days served in jail following the arrest.
It does not appear that her boyfriend showed up to bail her out.
Sadly, the arrest of Nicole Hand Boy is not an isolated incident. Her arrest is just one of many incidents that have taken place at Disney Springs and around the Walt Disney World Resort.

Just one day before her arrest, another guest was apprehended when he was caught masturbating in his car in one of the parking garages at Disney Springs.
Two months before that, another man was arrested when he left multiple puppies alone in a car while he went to eat. The puppies were rescued, but sadly, one of them did not survive. The man has left the state, but authorities are demanding he return. The man is blaming Disney for what happened, saying that if the restaurant’s service was faster, the puppies would not have been left alone for so long.
