Disney Makes Big Change for Future Weddings at Disneyland Resort

For more than two decades, Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons program has offered fans a chance to turn their love of the parks into something far more permanent. From floral-lined ceremonies in front of Cinderella Castle to late-night vows aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship, the possibilities have continued to grow — and now, Disneyland’s original park is adding even more options to the mix.

This month, Disneyland Resort introduced three new in-park venues where guests can now say “I do.” It’s the latest expansion of Disney's premium wedding offerings, aimed at a growing base of customers eager to celebrate life’s biggest moments with the Mouse.

The new venues — Fantasy Faire Garden, Magnolia Park Gazebo, and Magnolia Park Terrace — are nestled inside Disneyland Park itself, and each comes with its own charm and guest capacity. Fantasy Faire Garden, for example, allows for a ceremony with just 10 people, while both Magnolia Park locations accommodate up to 30 guests.

These new spots aren’t open during regular park hours. Like other Disneyland weddings, ceremonies take place after dark, once day guests have exited the park. That exclusivity is part of the draw — along with a few extra perks.

Magnolia Park Gazebo and Magnolia Park Terrace offer newlyweds and their guests a celebratory ride on the Disneyland Railroad following the ceremony, with a private trip to Main Street, U.S.A. It’s a touch of vintage charm that connects the couple’s big day to the history of the park itself.

Part of a Larger, Expanding Wedding Portfolio

The three new additions join a vast network of more than 100 Disney wedding venues worldwide. In Anaheim alone, couples have previously wed in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle and even outside the Haunted Mansion — a particularly bold choice that highlights just how specific fans’ preferences can be.

Disney weddings don’t come cheap. Events at Disneyland Resort start at around $15,000 and climb depending on location, size, and additional options. That price tag hasn’t dampened demand. If anything, interest in park-based weddings has grown in recent years, bolstered by social media and the Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings series, with some even hosting multiple ceremonies at the parks.

Elsewhere, Disney has made similarly unexpected venues available for ceremonies. At Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, couples can exchange vows beneath the Tree of Life or inside EPCOT’s American Adventure Rotunda. At Disneyland Paris, weddings are offered across the resort — though the program came under fire earlier this year when it was revealed that a convicted sex offender had secured a luxury wedding package with a young child as his bride.

Despite such controversy, the Disney wedding brand remains strong. The company has leaned into this niche offering, highlighting the personalized nature of its events and the nostalgic pull of its settings. For many fans, especially those who grew up visiting the parks, there’s a certain poetry to building a marriage atop those early memories.

A Wedding Inside the Magic

Disneyland’s 70th anniversary, celebrated earlier this month, marked a major milestone in the park’s history — and these new wedding venues arrive just in time to remind fans of how personal that history can be. The original park remains a place where Walt Disney’s legacy is most tangible, and for some couples, that’s precisely the magic they’re seeking.

Whether tucked behind Tiana’s Palace in New Orleans Square or hidden in the gardens of Fantasyland, these new ceremony spaces reflect a larger trend: Disney isn’t just a destination. For many, it’s a way of life — and now, a wedding venue too.
