The world of Once Upon a Time has always been full of magic, mystery, and unexpected twists. Fans of the show were captivated by the whimsical reimaginings of classic fairy tales, from Snow White to Peter Pan. For seven seasons, Once Upon a Time brought together a remarkable ensemble of actors and created a universe where heroes and villains from fairy tales lived in the real world, all while struggling with a powerful curse that erased their memories.

But as the show came to an end in 2018, many were left wondering: Would the magic ever return? In the ever-growing world of reboots and revivals, it seems that a Once Upon a Time reboot could be a distinct possibility. And who better to reignite the conversation than one of the show’s stars?
Lana Parrilla Opens the Door for a Reboot
Among the most beloved characters from Once Upon a Time was Regina Mills, better known as the Evil Queen, played by Lana Parrilla. Fans loved her compelling portrayal of the complex villain, who evolved over the course of the series into one of the most dynamic characters in television.
So, when Parrilla recently opened up about the possibility of a reboot, it sent waves of excitement through the Once Upon a Time fanbase.

Speaking candidly during an appearance on the I’ve Never Said This Before podcast, Parrilla shared her thoughts on the possibility of returning to the magical world of Once Upon a Time.
“I would like to make that happen. If there was a reboot, I'm just saying I would be interested.”
“I've always had mixed feelings about it because the series ran for so long. I was like, I don't know what more we can tell, these characters have been so deeply fleshed out. But there's always more stories. And that character has a huge piece of my heart, so I would be open to it, for sure.”

Parrilla Reflects on the Show’s Legacy
For Parrilla, the allure of Once Upon a Time goes beyond just the show itself. In her podcast interview, she revealed how the show and her role as Regina Mills changed her life.
“What I forgot about over the years is how great the writing is. I mean, I know the writing is great; it has to start with that for a show to be successful. But I forgot how many quotes were great in it and how they were like more lessons for people. People grew from these characters and their lives changed, and that was something I don't think I would've understood had I not been meeting the fans over the years like I do.
“I would go back to Adam [Horowitz] and Eddie [Kitsis] and say, ‘Do you guys realize what you've done? It's changed lives. That's the first time I've ever been a part of something that magical. It will always hold a dear place in my heart. Once Upon a Time is a very special show.”

Parrilla isn’t the only Once Upon a Time star who has shown interest in a potential reboot. Over the years, many members of the cast have expressed their love for the show and the characters they brought to life. One of the most vocal has been Ginnifer Goodwin, who played Snow White.
In an interview with PEOPLE earlier this year, Goodwin revealed that she, too, had heard whispers of a reboot and would be open to returning.
“I hear these rumors as well [about a reboot], and I am available if they [want to do that],” Goodwin said. “I mean, I live around the corner from the creator, so I’m sure I’ll hear things.”
“I’d love to go back. My whole life is kind of built around it. I mean, I married Prince Charming. His babies are my babies,” she added, referring to husband Josh Dallas, whom she met on the OUAT set and now shares two children with.

While Once Upon a Time may have had its ups and downs in terms of viewership toward the end of its run, there’s no denying the strong connection fans still have with the characters and storylines. And with Disney’s current trend of revisiting popular properties for reboots, it’s not outside the realm of possibility that a return to Storybrooke could become a reality.
As it stands, neither Disney nor ABC has made any official announcements regarding a Once Upon a Time reboot. However, with reboots of classic shows gaining in popularity, there’s a lot of speculation about whether Once Upon a Time might be next in line for a revival. Whether it would be a continuation of the original story or a reimagining of some of the characters remains uncertain, but one thing is clear: the love for Once Upon a Time is still alive and well.
Are you hoping for a Once Upon a Time reboot? Which original cast members would you be most excited to see return?
