Select Annual Passholders Weren’t Able To Rope-Drop Magic Kingdom and EPCOT on Veterans Day

Veterans Day once again brought record attendance to Walt Disney World. On November 11, 2025, both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT officially reached their reservation capacity for Annual Passholders. While guests with regular park tickets were still welcome, those with annual passes found that no additional reservations could be made for the day—a sign of how popular the holiday has become across the resort.

This marks another example of the Annual Passholder system operating at full strength during high-demand periods. Passholders must reserve their park visits in advance, with each pass level—Incredi Pass, Sorcerer Pass, Pirate Pass, and Pixie Dust Pass—offering a limited number of spots. Once a park’s allotment fills up, no more reservations can be made unless a cancellation occurs.

Guests still have other options, with Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom continuing to offer openings. And for those eager to enjoy Magic Kingdom later in the day, Park Hopping remained available after 2 p.m.

Veterans Day is consistently one of the resort’s busiest dates. Families often take advantage of the long weekend, while many service members and their loved ones visit to enjoy the resort’s special offerings. The strong turnout at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom reinforces how central the reservation system remains to Disney’s crowd management strategy, even as restrictions have relaxed over recent years.

“Good-to-go” days, which provide spontaneous opportunities for Annual Passholders, have added flexibility to the experience—but they can’t guarantee entry on high-attendance days like this. The Veterans Day sell-outs serve as a reminder that holding an Annual Pass doesn’t automatically ensure admission; early reservations are key to a seamless visit.

As Disney continues balancing park capacity and guest experience, similar sell-outs may occur during upcoming holidays. For passholders, staying alert to reservation windows and maintaining flexible plans will help keep the magic alive, even on the busiest of days.

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his favorite TV show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer except when it's One Tree Hill. He loves sandy beach walks, forest hikes, and foodie days out in the Big City. Thomas lives in England, UK, with his fiancée, baby, and their dog, a Border Collie called Luna.
