A New Disney Theme Park Opens on March 29, 2026

Disneyland Paris Resort is counting down to one of the biggest transformations in its history. Walt Disney Studios Park will cease to exist on March 29, 2026, replaced by an entirely reimagined destination called Disney Adventure World. The European Disney destination promises a dramatically expanded theme park featuring multiple new lands, attractions, and entertainment offerings.

Complete Theme Park Overhaul

Disney Adventure World is a radical departure from the movie-making theme that defined Walt Disney Studios Park since its 2002 opening. When the reimagined theme park debuts, over 90% of original attractions and experiences will have been transformed or replaced entirely. The park's physical size will double, accommodating massive new lands and experiences.

The transformation has already begun with World Premiere Plaza, Disney Adventure World's redesigned entrance. The open-air space draws inspiration from iconic live theatre venues found on Broadway and London's West End.

Adventure Way Brings Dining and Entertainment

Adventure Way forms the central hub of Disney Adventure World, featuring attractions and 14 new dining locations themed to Disney and Pixar properties. One of those, Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, is a brand-new Table-Service venue offering Disney Princess character meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The attached lounge makes history as the first-ever bar inside a Disneyland Paris Resort theme park, decorated with nods to animal sidekicks like Heihei, Pascal, and Mushu. Both sections overlook Adventure Bay.

Adventure Way will host the Disney Marching Band, led by Minnie Mouse, as well as rotating Disney character meet-and-greets starting in November, and seasonal entertainment including Rapunzel and Flynn's Musical Encounter, Mary Poppins and the Pearly Band, and Miguel's Latin Festival.

Nighttime Spectacular Debuts at Disney Adventure World

Adventure Bay serves as the stage for “Disney Cascade of Lights,” Disneyland Paris Resort's new nighttime show launching March 29, 2026. The 360-degree spectacular combines fireworks, drone displays, and water projection technology. Disney promises “the world's first integration of an aquatic drone system alongside next-generation aerial drones.”

The show features new arrangements of classic Disney music plus an original song titled “We Can Be Heroes.” Characters and scenes from Zootopia (2016), Up (2009), Hercules (1997), Moana (2016), Mulan (1998), and Marvel Cinematic Universe films will appear throughout the production.

Tangled (2010) Attraction Exclusive to Disneyland Paris Resort

Raiponce Tangled Spin also debuts at Disney Adventure World on March 29. This family-friendly spinner attraction, inspired by Tangled (2010), recreates the film's iconic lantern scene and is exclusive to Disneyland Paris Resort. Mandy Moore, who voiced Rapunzel in the original film, recorded new audio announcements specifically for the attraction.

World of Frozen

The 7.5-acre World of Frozen land significantly expands Disney Adventure World's footprint. The full-scale recreation of the Kingdom of Arendelle features the 118-foot-tall North Mountain and Elsa's Ice Palace, bringing Frozen (2013) to life for European Disney Parks fans.

The land features an enhanced version of Frozen Ever After, which already operates at EPCOT and Hong Kong Disneyland, as well as a roller coaster called Wandering Oaken's Sliding Sleighs. A 15-minute daytime show, “A Celebration in Arendelle,” features Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf celebrating Snowflower Day aboard three Viking longships on Arendelle Bay. Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who composed music for Frozen, created two new songs exclusively for the Disneyland Paris Resort production.

Walt Disney Imagineers recently shared the first video of an advanced walk-around audio-animatronic Olaf, debuting exclusively at Disneyland Paris Resort and Hong Kong Disneyland.

Future Expansions Already Underway

The Pride Lands

Construction on Disney Adventure World won't stop after the March 29 opening. Crews broke ground in 2025 on a land inspired by The Lion King (1994). The expansion will feature a log flume ride with next-generation audio-animatronics, a full-scale Pride Rock, and additional experiences based on the Walt Disney Animation Studios musical.

Up (2009) Ride

Adventure Way is also getting a flying carousel inspired by Up (2009), though Disneyland Paris Resort hasn't announced an opening date for the Pixar-themed attraction.

Planning documents suggest Disneyland Paris Resort may be developing an Avatar (2009)-inspired land for Disney Adventure World, similar to Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and the project currently in development at Disney California Adventure Park. However, the European Disney destination hasn't officially confirmed Avatar plans.
