Disney has shared a new update on the future of its Ratatouille attraction, clarifying when guests can expect the ride to return following its recent closure.
Since its debut, Ratatouille has represented Disney’s shift toward immersive, technology-driven attractions. Trackless ride systems, oversized physical sets, and layered projection effects place guests directly inside the story, racing through a Parisian kitchen from a rat's point of view.

Recent updates have centered on improving projection clarity, lighting balance, and set detail. These changes were designed to modernize the experience while preserving what made the ride popular.
Disneyland Paris temporarily closed its version of the attraction as part of that effort, initially offering only a broad reopening window tied to wider park changes.
Ratatouille Reopening Date Moves Forward
Disneyland Paris has now confirmed that Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy will reopen on March 28, 2026, earlier than previously reported.
The new date places the attraction’s return one day before Walt Disney Studios Park officially rebrands as Disney Adventure World, ensuring it will be operational during the park’s launch under its new name.

Ratatouille first opened at Walt Disney Studios Park in July 2014. The attraction was housed within a detailed recreation of Place de Rémy and quickly became one of the park’s signature offerings.
Guests board rat-shaped trackless vehicles that shrink them to Rémy’s size. The ride sends them racing through Gusteau’s restaurant, weaving between oversized food, flames, and startled kitchen staff.
A second version opened at EPCOT in 2021. Though largely identical, the Florida attraction was adapted for World Showcase, with differences in its exterior, queue design, and narrative framing.
EPCOT’s version closed temporarily in November 2025 as Disney removed its 3D elements. The update introduced brighter visuals, improved lighting, and upgraded projection systems.

The Paris refurbishment followed a similar approach within a shorter timeframe. During the closure, 3D was removed entirely, and new projectors were installed to improve image consistency.
Disney also refreshed the queue experience. A new Parisian artist’s studio scene was added, alongside physical props intended to enhance depth and texture without altering the ride’s story.
Initially, Disney cited a spring 2026 reopening. Later reports suggested an April 11 return, which would have left the attraction closed during the park’s rebranding.
The March 28 date changes that.
How the Ride Fits Into Disney Adventure World
On March 29, Walt Disney Studios Park officially becomes Disney Adventure World, marking a major shift in the resort’s identity and long-term direction.
The relaunch coincides with the opening of World of Frozen, anchored by Frozen Ever After, new dining and retail locations, and a walking, talking audio-animatronic of Olaf.
Adventure Way will also debut, serving as a new promenade leading to Adventure Bay, a central lake designed to anchor the park’s future expansion areas.

Adventure Bay will host Disney Cascade of Lights, a nighttime show featuring drones, projections, and water effects inspired by Moana, Hercules, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Additional openings include Raiponce Tangled Spin and The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, a character dining venue overlooking the lake.
Passholder previews for Disney Adventure World went at a rapid rate, with additional capacity expected in February.
