Disney Confirms Sudden EPCOT Festival Switch Starting April 6

If you’re heading to EPCOT this week, you might want to double-check your food plans—because Disney has officially confirmed a sudden change to one of the park’s biggest seasonal offerings.

The Flower & Garden Festival is still underway, but as of April 6, one of its key food experiences has already shifted into a completely new phase. It’s not a minor tweak or a limited-time addition. It’s a full menu switch that changes what guests can order starting immediately.

And if you were hoping to try certain dishes, your window has already closed.

A Mid-Festival Change You Can’t Ignore

EPCOT festivals are known for their consistency. Once they begin, most guests expect the experience to stay relatively stable throughout their visit.

But that’s not always the case.

At Farmer’s Feast—one of the festival’s featured booths—Disney has implemented a scheduled menu transition that takes effect April 6. That means guests visiting before and after that date are essentially experiencing two different versions of the same booth.

The End of Early Bloom

The first phase of Farmer’s Feast, known as the Early Bloom menu, has officially ended.

This menu ran from the start of the festival through April 5 and featured a lineup designed to highlight early spring flavors.

It included:

  • Grilled asparagus with pancetta and a soft-poached egg
  • Seared scallop with spring pea risotto
  • Blueberry crumble cake with blueberry-lemon soft serve

These items are no longer available as of April 6.

For guests who didn’t make it in time, that portion of the festival experience is now gone.

The New Springtime Menu Takes Over

In its place, Disney has introduced the Springtime menu, which will remain in place through May 10.

This new lineup brings a different set of flavors and dishes, including:

  • Heirloom tomatoes with mozzarella, pesto, and balsamic pearls
  • Grilled beef strip loin with tomato risotto
  • Peach cobbler with cinnamon gelato

It’s a noticeable shift—not just in ingredients, but in the overall feel of the booth.

Why Disney Rotates Festival Menus

This isn’t a last-minute decision or a reaction to guest feedback. It’s part of a larger strategy Disney uses to keep EPCOT festivals feeling fresh.

By rotating menus throughout the event, Disney encourages repeat visits and gives returning guests something new to try.

But for those who only visit once, it can feel like a missed opportunity if timing doesn’t line up.

What Hasn’t Changed

Even with the food swap, some elements of Farmer’s Feast remain consistent.

The beverage menu continues unchanged through May 10, offering drinks like hard cider, hard seltzer, and specialty cocktails.

So while the food experience resets, the booth still maintains some familiar options.

This update is a good reminder that EPCOT festivals aren’t as static as they might appear.

If you’re planning a trip specifically for the Flower & Garden Festival—or any EPCOT festival—it’s worth looking beyond just the event dates.

Menus can change. Offerings can rotate. And what’s available during one week may not be there the next.

For guests who prioritize food experiences, those details can make or break a visit.

The Bigger Festival Experience

Despite the menu change, the Flower & Garden Festival still delivers everything fans expect.

The topiaries continue to transform the park into a living garden. The Garden Rocks concert series brings live music to World Showcase. And dozens of outdoor kitchens remain open across the park.

But this mid-festival switch adds another layer to the experience—one that rewards guests who time their visits carefully.

Final Takeaway

Disney has officially confirmed a menu transition at EPCOT, and it’s already in effect.

As of April 6, the Early Bloom menu at Farmer’s Feast has been replaced by the Springtime menu, marking a clear shift in the festival’s food offerings.

For some guests, it’s a fresh reason to visit again.

For others, it’s a reminder that at EPCOT, timing isn’t just important—it’s everything.
