Halloween may still be months away, but Walt Disney World is already getting the season started with a preview of what’s coming in 2026.
The first round of details for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has officially arrived, giving guests an early idea of what to expect. Between returning elements and a few new additions, there’s plenty to keep an eye on—including a new Stitch-focused experience that could quickly become a fan favorite.
What Makes This Event Stand Out Every Year
There’s a reason this party continues to draw crowds year after year. Once the event begins, Magic Kingdom takes on a completely different personality.
Trick-or-treat locations pop up across the park, exclusive shows fill the schedule, and characters that rarely appear during the day suddenly become part of the experience.
Guests also bring their own energy. Costumes, themed outfits, and a sense of celebration take over, creating an atmosphere that feels unique compared to a typical park day.
That’s why even early updates like these can feel like a big deal.

Dates Are Set, and Planning Can Begin
Disney has already confirmed that the party will run on select nights from early August through October 31.
Ticket sales will follow a familiar pattern. General access begins in mid-May, while guests staying at Disney World hotels can purchase tickets earlier.
That early booking window has become increasingly important as demand continues to rise. If you’re aiming for a specific night, it’s worth being ready when sales open.
Returning Food Favorites Get the Spotlight First
While the full menu hasn’t been revealed yet, Disney has shared a small selection of returning items.
A Minnie-themed dessert at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe leads the lineup, combining chocolate, peanut butter, and rich toppings into one eye-catching treat.
Wing options are also making a comeback. The Friar’s Nook will serve a sweet-and-spicy version with jalapeños, while Pecos Bill will offer a citrus-inspired take with grilled onions.
These early reveals usually set the stage for a much larger announcement later in the summer, when Disney releases its full food guide.

A Familiar Look for This Year’s Merchandise
This year’s merchandise collection is inspired by classic Halloween imagery, featuring Vampire Mickey and Witch Minnie across several designs.
Apparel leads the way, but smaller items like keychains, ornaments, and mugs help round out the collection. Characters like Oogie Boogie and the Sanderson Sisters also appear in the designs, tying everything back to the Halloween theme.
The overall approach feels consistent, giving fans a clear idea of the event’s visual style.

Villains Take on a Bigger Role
Villains aren’t just part of the show this year—they’re becoming part of the environment.
Instead of staying in designated areas, they’ll move throughout the park, creating spontaneous interactions for guests. That shift adds an element of surprise that hasn’t been as prominent in previous years.
The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular will also return, bringing a lineup of familiar characters to the stage alongside the Sanderson Sisters.
Together, these changes make villains feel more integrated into the night as a whole.
Stitch Headlines a New Interactive Experience
One of the most exciting additions for 2026 centers on Stitch, who will host a new experience in Tomorrowland.
Alongside Lilo and Angel, he’ll take over the Rockettower Plaza Stage for a dance party that changes throughout the night. Each time Stitch switches costumes, the music and atmosphere shift with him.
That approach keeps the experience fresh and gives guests a reason to stop by more than once.

The 2026 Party Is Already Taking Shape
Even with more announcements still expected, the direction for this year’s Halloween party is becoming clear.
Disney is building on what already works while adding new elements that make the event feel more dynamic. From roaming villains to interactive entertainment, the focus seems to be on making the experience feel more alive.
With tickets set to go on sale soon, now is the time to start planning. The earlier you prepare, the better your chances of experiencing everything this year’s party has to offer.
