Disneyland Updates Main Street Area Originally Designed by Walt Disney

A construction project that has been part of the Disneyland Park landscape since last November appears to finally be entering its final stretch. Here's the latest update regarding the ongoing refurbishment on Disneyland Paris Resort's version of Main Street, U.S.A.

Photos shared by X (formerly known as Twitter) user @DLPReport on May 18 offer the clearest sign yet that the Town Square Gazebo refurbishment at the entrance to Main Street, U.S.A., is nearing completion. The images show two of the gazebo's four stairways fully refurbished and open, while large plywood structures still box in the remaining two.

🔧 In Town Square, two of the four Gazebo stairs have been refurbished, with the rest underway.

Disney Park guests can still access and enjoy the Victorian-style gazebo despite the ongoing work. Disneyland Paris Resort hasn't offered a specific end date for the project, but with half the stairways already complete, the finish line is clearly in sight.

Construction walls first appeared around the Town Square Gazebo back in November 2025, making this one of the longer-running maintenance projects currently active at the only European Disney Resort. Disneyland Paris Resort has managed the work incrementally, keeping as much of the structure accessible to guests as possible throughout the process.

One Project Among Many

The gazebo refurbishment is far from the only active construction at Disneyland Park right now. The more visually disruptive project remains the ongoing bridge refurbishment at Sleeping Beauty Castle, where plywood walls went up in early May and have since expanded further into Central Plaza. That work is expected to continue through late September 2026.

The Sleeping Beauty Castle project has already forced a reroute of Disney Stars on Parade, with a Central Plaza curb recently flattened to create a modified corridor for the parade to navigate around the construction zone. The castle walkthrough and La Tanière du Dragon — The Lair of the Dragon — are both remaining open throughout the bridge refurbishment via alternate entrances.
