A couple who flew more than 5,000 miles from Sweden to visit Disneyland Resort ended up in a parking lot holding a cardboard sign begging for theme park tickets. It wasn't long before security cast members intervened.
What Happened on June 9

On Tuesday, X (formerly Twitter) user @magicnextdoor_ shared two photos of a woman standing in a Disneyland Resort parking lot, holding a handmade cardboard sign with a straightforward message: “Looking for a ticket and reservation.”
The witness spoke with the woman before photographing her and sharing her story:
I think this was the first and only time I ever saw something like this on Disney property. I believe this woman and her husband were from Sweden and didn't know reservations were required to get into the park. Security got them out of there pretty quickly. 🚔

According to the witness, the couple had traveled from Sweden — a journey of over 5,000 miles — without purchasing theme park tickets in advance or securing park reservations. They arrived at Disneyland Resort expecting to buy tickets on site and walk into Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. When that plan didn't work out, the sign became their last resort.

Disneyland Resort security didn't leave them to it for long. The couple was removed from the property, presumably without the tickets they were looking for.
The Rule They Didn't Know About
Disneyland Resort does sell theme park tickets on site but, without a reservation, guests cannot enter Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park until 2:00 p.m. Apparently, after traveling halfway around the world, waiting until the afternoon wasn't an option the couple was willing to accept.

The witness followed up with another detail about the brief conversation they had with the woman before security cast members arrived:
I stopped and spoke to her for a moment before asking if I could take a photo. She was okay with it. I told her that literally NOBODY ever does what she's doing but she said she didn't have any other ideas.

Whether the couple received a formal ban from Disneyland Resort property or simply a directive not to return without tickets hasn't been confirmed.
