At 9:34 a.m. on Monday, June 8, law enforcement received a report of a fire at Magic Kingdom Park. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime logged the response on X (formerly known as Twitter):

The Google Maps screenshot attached to the alert pinpoints the reported location backstage in Fantasyland, near the Be Our Guest restaurant. That said, call logs for the Central Florida Disney parks frequently use generalized addresses rather than precise locations — meaning the actual site of the emergency response may differ from what the map suggests.

Walt Disney World Resort has not issued any statement about the incident, which is consistent with how the Central Florida vacation destination typically handles emergency responses on its property, particularly those that occur in backstage or non-guest-facing areas.

No Impact on Park Operations

Guests at Magic Kingdom Park on Monday can proceed with their plans without disruption. The My Disney Experience app shows no operational impacts tied to the reported fire, and all attractions and experiences at the original Central Florida Disney park appear to be running normally.

If the emergency response did occur in a backstage area — a kitchen, for example — Walt Disney World Resort is unlikely to share any further details about what happened or how it was resolved.

As a reminder, guests who encounter any emergency or law enforcement response during a Walt Disney World Resort visit should avoid cordoned-off areas and follow instructions from officers and Disney cast members on the scene.
