A busy afternoon at Walt Disney World Resort was interrupted by a traffic incident near one of its four theme parks.
The resort's road network handles thousands of vehicles every day, carrying guests, cast members, and service vehicles between hotels, parking areas, and attractions. On Thursday, one section of that network became the site of a reported crash.

According to reports, a collision involving a tour bus and a passenger vehicle took place shortly before 1 p.m.
The crash occurred at the intersection of E. Buena Vista Drive and Chelonia Parkway near EPCOT.
Witnesses reported injuries following the incident.
The location sits behind EPCOT's Red Lot cast parking area, a section of the resort primarily used by employees and operational vehicles.
By approximately 1:30 p.m., Apple Maps showed delays in the area. Backstage Lane was also listed as closed to traffic as emergency crews responded.

According to WDW Active Crime, the roadway later reopened and the area was cleared.
No additional information about the reported injuries has been released.
Traffic Delays Impact Area Near EPCOT
The crash briefly affected traffic in a section of Walt Disney World that serves both backstage operations and nearby guest areas.
Road closures and delays can quickly ripple across the resort due to the volume of vehicles traveling between Disney's theme parks, hotels, and support facilities throughout the day.
Guests visiting EPCOT on Thursday may have encountered congestion around the area while emergency crews responded to the scene.

The reported bus crash was not the only traffic incident on Disney property today.
A separate crash was also reported on North Cove Road near Disney's Old Key West Resort.
Few details have been released about that incident.
Recent Emergency Incidents Across Walt Disney World
Emergency responses occasionally take place across Walt Disney World Resort.
Earlier this month, emergency responders were called to the area around the Transportation and Ticket Center and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort following reports of a near-drowning incident. Authorities investigated the situation, though few details have been released publicly.

Guest-related incidents have also generated headlines in recent weeks.
In May, a woman was arrested following an alleged altercation over restaurant seating at Steakhouse 71 inside Disney's Contemporary Resort.
Authorities said the dispute escalated into a confrontation involving a cast member and a manager, with the guest throwing “multiple glasses of water.”
According to authorities, four glasses were broken during the incident.

Authorities also said the guest told deputies she had overheard cast members discussing her disabled daughter's interactions with employees at Steakhouse 71.
She later admitted to throwing water at a Disney duty manager and taking his nametag, claiming she needed it to identify him for a complaint.
Transportation incidents have surfaced before as well.
In December 2025, multiple Disney transportation buses were involved in a crash on Buena Vista Drive, one of the resort's main roadways. The incident resulted in significant vehicle damage and traffic disruption.
Another crash took place near EPCOT earlier this month.
Thursday's reported crash had cleared by the afternoon, with traffic returning to normal after the roadway reopened.
