The countdown to Halloween Horror Nights is becoming much more exciting now that Universal Orlando Resort has revealed almost everything guests can expect at HHN 35. After steadily announcing haunted houses, entertainment, and scare zones over the past several weeks, the resort has assembled what looks to be one of its biggest event lineups in recent years.
A few announcements are still missing before opening night, but most of this year's experience is finally out in the open. From original nightmares created by Universal's own team to familiar horror franchises, here's what has been revealed so far.
Halloween Horror Nights Keeps Raising the Bar
Every year, Universal Studios Florida transforms after sunset into a completely different destination. Halloween Horror Nights replaces the park's usual atmosphere with elaborate haunted houses, roaming scare actors, themed food, live performances, exclusive merchandise, and immersive scare zones that stretch throughout the park.
That formula has made HHN Universal Orlando's signature seasonal event, and this year's lineup continues to balance original storytelling with recognizable horror properties that appeal to longtime fans and first-time visitors alike.
Universal Expands Its Original Horror Universe
Original haunted houses continue to play a major role at Halloween Horror Nights, and HHN 35 introduces several brand-new nightmares.
H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular! drops guests into another outrageous television special hosted by the infamous horror personality, delivering plenty of gruesome moments along the way.
MADLANDS: Caged Cannibals shifts the terror to a deserted zoo that has become the battleground for rival cannibal groups. Instead of escaped animals, guests must navigate a landscape where surviving humans have become the greatest threat.
Science fiction also gets its moment in INVASION: Alien Abduction. Set at a remote farmhouse, the haunted house centers on terrifying Gray aliens searching for fresh human subjects.
Cybergoria takes visitors thousands of years into the future, where advanced machines have reshaped humanity in their relentless pursuit of immortality.
The final original concept, Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control, focuses on two of Halloween Horror Nights' best-known original characters. The experience explores the connection between Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow while showcasing the battle between chaos and control that has become part of HHN history.
Familiar Horror Franchises Return
Universal has also assembled an impressive collection of houses inspired by popular horror properties.
Sinners transports guests to opening night at the Smokestack Twins' juke joint before bloodthirsty vampires turn the celebration into a deadly fight for survival.
Stranger Things 5 brings guests back to Hawkins for one last showdown featuring Demogorgons, the Mind Flayer, Vecna, and scenes inspired by the series' final season.
Hellraiser draws from the original trilogy, inviting visitors into the terrifying world ruled by Pinhead and the Cenobites.
Meanwhile, Evil Dead Burn places guests inside a home consumed by supernatural evil as Deadites hunt for their next victims.
One mystery still surrounds the haunted house lineup. Reports sparked by an apparent Pandora advertisement suggest an Ozzy Osbourne-themed haunted house could also be coming to HHN 35. Universal has not officially announced that experience, however, so fans continue to wait for confirmation.
Scare Zones Continue the Terror Outside the Houses
The horror won't stop once guests leave the haunted houses.
Universal has announced Sideshow of Decay, where Cindy unleashes horrifying creatures after opening a portal inside an abandoned carnival junkyard.
Infernal Carnival of Nightmares also joins the lineup, bringing Jack and Dr. Oddfellow together for another twisted carnival experience filled with unsettling performers.
Universal has also confirmed that the Killer Klowns from Outer Space will invade the streets during HHN 35. The company hasn't explained exactly how the characters will appear, but many fans expect them to become part of another scare zone.
Live Entertainment Returns to HHN
Universal is also expanding this year's entertainment lineup with two major productions.
Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir introduces the newest chapter of the popular performance series, combining high-energy stunts with a vampire-inspired story.
Guests can also experience Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins, a lagoon show celebrating memorable moments from all five seasons of the Netflix hit through music and large-scale projections.
The Final Pieces Are Still Coming
Halloween Horror Nights 35 officially begins on August 28 and continues on select nights through November 1.
While most of the event has now been announced, Universal still has a few questions left to answer. The resort has not officially confirmed the rumored Ozzy Osbourne haunted house, revealed whether Killer Klowns from Outer Space will become a scare zone or another type of experience, or announced the remaining scare zone. Fans are also waiting to learn more about this year's food, merchandise, and other event-exclusive offerings.
Even without those final announcements, HHN 35 already boasts an impressive collection of original stories, blockbuster horror franchises, immersive street experiences, and live entertainment. With opening night approaching, anticipation continues to build for another frightening season at Universal Orlando Resort.
