Something new appears to be coming for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders, and Disney is making fans work a little harder than usual to figure out exactly what it is.
The company has released a teaser for its next complimentary Annual Passholder magnet. Rather than showing the character, Disney provided environmental clues and a few carefully selected phrases.
And they may all be pointing toward Kermit the Frog.
Disney hasn't officially identified the character, meaning a Muppet-themed magnet isn't confirmed yet. Still, the possibility is notable for one major reason: Walt Disney World has never released a Muppet Annual Passholder magnet before.
If Kermit or another member of The Muppets is eventually revealed, Passholders would be getting a historic first for the magnet program.
Could Kermit Be Coming to Annual Passholders?
Disney isn't making the answer completely obvious, but it has provided plenty for fans to examine.
The first artwork takes place around a pond. Lily pads and water lilies fill the water while cattails rise from the surrounding area. One lily pad even contains a hidden Mickey.
Another teaser introduces mushrooms.
Naturally, a pond immediately brings a certain green Muppet to mind, but Disney's language might be an even bigger clue.
The company says the mystery character knows what it's like to be in the spotlight. Disney has also teased “showstopping” offerings connected to the promotion and language about making Passholders feel like stars.
Perhaps the most interesting clue is Disney's mention of rainbows.
For anyone familiar with Kermit, the combination of a frog, entertainment and rainbows makes the theory fairly easy to understand.
There are other possibilities. The pond setting could potentially have ties to The Princess and the Frog (2009), for example.
Disney hasn't given away the answer yet, so all of this remains part of the guessing game.
The Muppets Have Never Received an AP Magnet
Should Kermit be revealed, Disney would be doing something it hasn't done throughout the history of its Annual Passholder magnet giveaways.
This would be the first Muppet AP magnet.
Disney has turned these complimentary magnets into regular collectibles for its Passholders. Different characters have appeared on designs over the years, and limited distribution windows can make each new release an event for fans who collect them.
A Muppet magnet would finally bring the franchise into that lineup.
It would also arrive during a period of significant change for The Muppets at Walt Disney World.
Muppet*Vision 3D closed permanently at Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2025, ending the attraction's decades-long run. The characters didn't disappear from the park, though.
Instead, Disney introduced Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets in May 2026. The revamped coaster brought The Muppets into another major Hollywood Studios attraction and gave the franchise a fresh presence inside the park.
Now, Disney may be extending that attention to its Annual Passholders.
Disney Is Planning More Passholder Exclusives
The mystery magnet isn't the only thing Disney has teased.
Annual Passholders can also expect a special Disney PhotoPass experience and a limited-time sweet treat connected to the upcoming promotion.
Disney hasn't shared all the details surrounding those additions, leaving several questions unanswered.
We don't yet know whether the PhotoPass experience and food offering will carry a Muppet theme. Disney also hasn't revealed all the distribution information for the magnet.
That leaves plenty more for the company to announce.
For now, the mystery surrounding the character is doing exactly what Disney likely intended: getting Annual Passholders talking.
Kermit certainly fits what we've seen. The pond makes sense. The entertainment references make sense. The spotlight clue makes sense. And that mention of rainbows gives Muppet fans another reason to believe Disney is pointing directly toward the famous frog.
We'll have to wait for Disney to make it official.
If the speculation proves correct, however, this won't be just another character added to Disney World's long-running magnet collection.
It will be the first time The Muppets have ever received an Annual Passholder magnet at Walt Disney World.
