Tinker Bell has been part of the Magic Kingdom experience for decades, but guests seeing her after dark may notice something different.
Walt Disney World has updated a major piece of the character's familiar costume, giving Tinker Bell a noticeably brighter appearance during nighttime entertainment.
The change arrives right in the middle of the Halloween season, when guests have another opportunity to see the character during one of Magic Kingdom's biggest seasonal events.
And once the lights go down, the difference is hard to miss.
Tinker Bell Has Brand-New Wings
Tinker Bell is now wearing a new set of wings featuring bright lights that illuminate her costume at night.
Guests can currently see the updated wings during Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, which is performed during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
The new wings shine brightly as Tinker Bell moves along the parade route, making the character considerably easier to spot from a distance.

It's not a complete redesign of Tinker Bell, of course. Her recognizable green costume remains, but replacing the wings changes one of the most important parts of her appearance.
The lighting also works particularly well during a nighttime parade. Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade already features plenty of colorful lighting, elaborate floats, Disney Villains, Haunted Mansion characters, and other performers.
Now, Tinker Bell brings some additional light of her own.
You Don't Need a Halloween Party Ticket To See Them
There is another way to see Tinker Bell's light-up wings without purchasing admission to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Tinker Bell also appears with them during Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away.
Disney's nighttime parade typically runs on nights when the Halloween party isn't taking place during this time of year. Depending on the date, guests may find one or two performances scheduled.
Because those showtimes can vary, guests should check Disney's official website or the My Disney Experience app for the latest entertainment schedule.
That makes planning ahead important, especially for visitors who specifically want to see Tinker Bell.
Seeing Tinker Bell at Disney World Isn't Always Easy
Despite Tinker Bell's long history with Disney, opportunities to see her at Walt Disney World are relatively limited.
She doesn't currently have a regular meet-and-greet at the resort.
Instead, guests generally need to catch her through Magic Kingdom entertainment.
Beyond Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade and Disney Starlight, Tinker Bell can also be spotted during the Festival of Fantasy Parade.
Then there's perhaps her most famous Magic Kingdom appearance: her flight during Happily Ever After.
For guests who love the character, those limited appearances make the new wings even more noticeable.
Halloween Party Tickets Could Become Harder To Find
Anyone specifically hoping to see Tinker Bell during Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade will need admission to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
The separately ticketed event runs on select nights during the Halloween season, and many dates are beginning to sell out.
As the season continues, guests shouldn't assume their preferred party date will remain available.
Popular dates can sell out, and waiting until the final days before a trip comes with a risk. If attending the party is an important part of your vacation, purchasing tickets ahead of time is the safer move.
Almost every party date could eventually sell out, particularly as Magic Kingdom moves closer to Halloween.
Tinker Bell's new wings alone probably won't determine whether someone buys a Halloween party ticket.
But for fans of the character, they're another small addition to look for this year.
Disney hasn't completely reinvented Tinker Bell. Instead, it has replaced one of the most recognizable pieces of her costume with something designed to shine after dark.
And during Magic Kingdom's nighttime parades, these wings certainly accomplish that.
