A close call unfolded at Magic Kingdom Park recently, when a young girl darted toward a moving parade float in pursuit of her favorite Disney character, only to be safely intercepted by an alert Walt Disney World Resort cast member.

TikTok user @koryleepuckett shared a video earlier this year showing her daughter nearly running into a parade float at Walt Disney World Resort. The moment unfolded just after the little girl waved at Moana during the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade, a daily morning parade that travels down Main Street, U.S.A., at Magic Kingdom Park.

What the Footage Shows
The video captures the girl waving at Moana from behind a yellow line marked on the road, with her mother recording nearby. When Moana waved back, the excited child bolted forward, running directly into the road toward the approaching float.
A Disney cast member positioned just inches away quickly stepped in, intercepting the child before she could be struck by the large vehicle. Moments later, her mother reached her and guided her back behind the safety line.
Reaction Online
The clip quickly sparked backlash on social media, with many commenters criticizing the TikToker for prioritizing filming over closely supervising her child in the moment. Facing mounting criticism, the creator eventually disabled comments on the video, effectively shutting down further discussion of the incident.
Thankfully, the child walked away unharmed, and the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade continued without further disruption. There's no indication that Walt Disney World Resort took any action against the family following the incident.
