After 13 Years, Ozzy Osbourne Returns to Halloween Horror Nights in Major Universal Orlando Reveal

Halloween Horror Nights 35 just added a heavy metal legend to its 2026 lineup.

Universal has officially announced that Ozzy Osbourne will inspire a haunted house at Universal Studios Florida this fall, completing the collection of 10 houses planned for this year’s event.

The announcement brings the Prince of Darkness into an event that already celebrates monsters, disturbing worlds, horror franchises, and original nightmares.

For Ozzy, that sounds like familiar territory.

Rumors Give Way to an Official Announcement

Word of an Ozzy Osbourne house began spreading before Universal was ready to make its announcement.

A Pandora advertisement shared on Reddit appeared to reveal the house early, pointing toward Osbourne becoming part of Halloween Horror Nights 35.

Universal has now confirmed it.

The experience will use Osbourne’s music and famous dark imagery as the foundation for an entire haunted environment.

Universal says guests will enter the kingdom of the Prince of Darkness, traveling through a decaying world where music and mayhem collide.

That description leaves plenty of possibilities for what guests could encounter.

Osbourne’s career has long mixed heavy metal with theatrical horror imagery. Universal can now take those ideas off album covers and concert stages and build them into rooms, sets, characters, effects, and scares.

Ozzy and Universal Have Done This Before

Some longtime Halloween Horror Nights fans may remember that Ozzy already has a connection to the event.

Universal Studios Hollywood featured Black Sabbath: 13-3D during Halloween Horror Nights in 2013.

That experience centered on Black Sabbath rather than Ozzy’s solo career. The maze drew inspiration from the band’s darker lyrics and incorporated 3D video into the attraction.

Osbourne said at the time that Black Sabbath was excited about working with Universal on the project.

Thirteen years later, the partnership is getting another chapter.

The 2026 version puts Ozzy Osbourne at the center of the experience rather than focusing on Black Sabbath as a whole. That gives Universal an opportunity to draw from a much broader collection of imagery associated with the musician.

Halloween Horror Nights Has All 10 Houses

The announcement also means Universal has now revealed all 10 haunted houses for Halloween Horror Nights 35.

Ozzy Osbourne joins Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control, Sinners, Stranger Things, Hellraiser, Evil Dead Burn, Cybergoria, H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular!, INVASION: Alien Abduction, and MADLANDS: Caged Cannibals.

As usual, Universal is mixing established names with original concepts created specifically for Halloween Horror Nights.

The Ozzy house doesn’t fit perfectly into either category.

Osbourne is obviously a recognizable figure with an enormous existing fanbase, but Universal isn’t adapting a traditional horror property. Instead, the company can create its own nightmare using his music, lyrics, imagery, and Prince of Darkness persona as inspiration.

That could make this one of the more distinctive houses in the 2026 lineup.

The Prince of Darkness Arrives This August

Halloween Horror Nights 35 begins August 28 and continues on select nights through November 1, 2026, at Universal Studios Florida.

The Ozzy announcement puts the final piece of the haunted house lineup into place just weeks before the event begins.

For fans of both Halloween Horror Nights and heavy metal, it also brings a familiar partnership back in a new form.

Black Sabbath entered the world of HHN in 2013.

In 2026, it’s Ozzy’s turn to take over.
