After Months of Silence, Universal Orlando Brings Back Secret Fan-Favorite

Universal Orlando is always evolving, but sometimes the most interesting updates aren’t the ones you see right away.

They’re the ones you have to find.

That’s the case with a returning speakeasy at CityWalk that’s already starting to generate buzz again. According to Inside Universal, the 600 Block has officially made its comeback—and if you missed it before, this is your chance to finally check it out.

Hidden in Plain Sight

At first glance, nothing about Pat O’Brien’s seems out of the ordinary. It’s a lively spot with great food, strong drinks, and dueling pianos that draw in crowds every night.

But hidden within that space is something completely different.

The 600 Block operates almost like its own separate world. It’s not advertised in a big way, and that’s very intentional. You’re meant to discover it—or hear about it from someone else.

And once you do, there’s one more step: you’ll need a password to get in.

It’s a small detail, but it adds a layer of fun that most places just don’t have.

A Slower, More Relaxed Experience

Once inside, the difference is clear.

The noise of CityWalk fades into the background, replaced by a quieter, more laid-back atmosphere. Live jazz music fills the room, and the lighting gives everything a more intimate feel.

It’s the kind of place where you actually sit and stay awhile instead of rushing through.

If you prefer something a little more connected to the outside energy, there’s outdoor seating as well. That option lets you enjoy the best of both worlds—the exclusivity of the speakeasy with the sounds of CityWalk still within reach.

Thoughtful Drinks and Simple Bites

The menu leans heavily into cocktails, and it shows. Each drink feels carefully crafted, with flavors that are balanced and intentional.

This isn’t just about grabbing whatever’s easiest—it’s about enjoying something that fits the setting.

There are also a few food options, mostly smaller dishes that work well alongside the drinks. They’re simple, but they get the job done.

A Limited-Time Return

Right now, the 600 Block isn’t an everyday offering. It’s only open a few nights a week and is expected to run through August.

That limited schedule makes it feel more like an event than a regular stop.

At the same time, there’s already talk about possibly extending it or bringing it back in a bigger way. Nothing is confirmed, but the interest is clearly there.

Why It Stands Out

With everything happening across Universal Orlando—from new attractions to major construction—it would be easy to overlook something like this.

But that would be a mistake.

Because this is exactly the kind of experience that adds depth to a trip. It’s different. It’s unexpected. And it gives you something not everyone else will experience.

The 600 Block is back—for now.

And if history tells us anything, it might not stick around forever.
