One of the biggest expenses attached to a Walt Disney World vacation doesn't happen inside the theme parks.
It's the hotel.
For Disney Visa Cardmembers planning an early 2027 trip, Disney has introduced a new perk that could make that portion of the vacation a little easier to manage.
Eligible Cardmembers can now save up to 30% on select Walt Disney World Resort hotel rooms, with promotional dates running from January through April 2027.
Better yet, Disney has added special savings for qualifying five-night stays that include Friday and Saturday nights.
The result is a Disney Visa benefit that could become particularly valuable for families planning longer trips.
Spring Brings the Largest Savings
Cardmembers looking for the maximum discount will want to pay close attention to dates beginning in late February.
From February 28 through April 29, 2027, eligible Disney Visa Cardmembers can receive 30% off select hotel rooms on most nights.
The highest discount applies to an extensive collection of accommodations, including several Deluxe Resorts.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney's Riviera Resort are among the participating properties.
Numerous Disney Vacation Club accommodations also appear in the 30% category.
That percentage can become important when dealing with higher nightly rates. The more expensive the eligible room and the longer the stay, the more significant a percentage-based discount can become.
Cardmembers don't necessarily have to wait until March, either.
For most Sunday through Thursday nights between January 3 and February 25, eligible rooms in this group receive a 25% discount.
Disney Added Special Savings for Weekends
Disney Visa Cardmembers planning longer stays receive another advantage.
For stays of at least five nights, eligible rooms in the top discount group can receive 20% off most Friday and Saturday nights from January 8 through February 27.
That's a useful addition for guests who can't build an entire vacation around weekdays.
The same basic structure extends to other participating hotels, although the percentages are lower.
Another group of resorts receives discounts reaching 25% from February 28 through April 29. Those accommodations qualify for 20% savings on most Sunday through Thursday nights from January 3 through February 25.
Cardmembers staying at least five nights can receive 15% savings on most eligible Friday and Saturday nights during the applicable January and February period.
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside are among the options in this category.
Less Expensive Hotels Also Qualify
Disney Visa Cardmembers don't need to book a Deluxe Resort to use the promotion.
A third category offers savings reaching 20%.
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, Disney's All-Star Music Resort and Disney's All-Star Sports Resort are included, along with standard rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort.
Those accommodations qualify for 20% savings on most nights from February 28 through April 29.
Earlier in the year, the discount is 15% for most Sunday through Thursday nights from January 3 through February 25. Five-night stays can qualify for 10% savings on most Friday and Saturday nights from January 8 through February 27.
Not Every Disney World Hotel Is Included
Before booking, Cardmembers should check the restrictions carefully.
The Cardmember must stay in the room and use a Disney Visa Card or Disney Rewards Redemption Card for the deposit.
Disney's Pop Century Resort is excluded, as are several other accommodations and room categories. All three-bedroom villas are excluded, along with certain accommodations at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and other select Disney Vacation Club properties.
Availability will ultimately determine which rooms Cardmembers can book with the discount.
Still, up to 30% off is a benefit worth checking before paying the regular price for a Disney World hotel.
Guests with flexible dates may have even more reason to compare their options. Changing the resort or shifting a vacation by a few days could potentially result in a different discount.
