Are You Missing These 10 Fabulous Experiences at the Magic Kingdom?

Castle and Main Street USA

When you visit the most popular theme park in the world, it is easy to be drawn to the headline attractions, rides, and restaurants. But, if you are riding the Splash and Space Mountains and dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table and trying to meet Mickey Mouse, there are many experiences that you may be missing out on! Here are ten fabulous experiences that you don’t want to miss out on!

10 – Sorcerer’s of the Magic Kingdom – we love this interactive game that takes guests throughout the lands of the Magic Kingdom to fight against Classic Disney villains. Guests use a variety of spell cards to battle the villains at interactive portals. Guests who wish to participate in this game can get a map and their spell cards from the Fire Station on Main Street or at a kiosk located in Liberty Square. The best thing about the game is that you can start and stop whenever you like so you can still enjoy your time at the park!

9 – Swiss Family Treehouse – the attraction offers the ability for guests to explore the house that the Robinson’s built when they were marooned on a desert island. Other than being a walk-through attraction, guests can have amazing views of the Magic Kingdom, and if they visit during the nightly performance of Wishes, they can have a uncrowded and fabulous view of the fireworks!

8 – Frontierland Shooting Gallery – even though we have seen attractions like this at other amusement parks and state fairs, we always love taking a temporary diversion when we are traveling through Frontierland. The attraction only costs a dollar and gives guests the ability to see what happens when they hit a variety of targets.

7 – Tom Sawyer Island – a second overlooked experience in Frontierland is Tom Sawyer’s Island. We enjoy taking the boat over there and just exploring the island and getting away from the crowds that swarm Frontierland and Liberty Square. We also love the views of the park that are offered from the island. You can easily spend more than an hour exploring Fort Langhorn and the caves and bridges throughout the island!

6 – Liberty Tree Tavern – we love grabbing a meal at the Liberty Tree Tavern because guests are treated to a variety of foods, as well as wonderful views of the Main Street Electrical Parade if you are dining late and seated in one of the dining rooms facing the parade route. Be sure to save room for the wonderful dessert!

5 – Mickey’s Philharmagic – take a break at this Fantasyland attraction that really features Donald Duck as he travels though some iconic Disney scenes and music. Guests are treated to a 4-D experience at this attraction – we really enjoy the opportunity to sit, rest, and cool off when we are visiting on a hot day. Guests will also enjoy the fact that there is rarely a substantial line, so guests are always able to experience it without much of a wait!

4 – Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor – in Tomorrowland, guests will love taking in a show at the Laugh Floor. The audience becomes part of the show as the monsters attempt to coax laughter from the audience to be able to power Monstropolis. Much like Philharmagic, we always love getting the opportunity to sit down and cool off when we visit this attraction.

3 – Cosmic Ray’s Starlite Café – while the food is your ordinary theme park fare, we love stopping in at Cosmic Ray’s because of the entertainment offered by Sonny Eclipse. This Audio-Animatronic alien will serenade guests with his top hits from across the galaxy!

2 – Tomorrowland Transit Authority – guests will love taking a spin on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority and taking in the wonderful views of Tomorrowland, as well as Cinderella Castle. Those too young or hesitant to ride Space Mountain will also be offered the opportunity to glimpse inside of Space Mountain.

1 – The Plaza Restaurant – this small restaurant at the end of Main Street allows guest to enjoy a wonderful selection of burgers and sandwiches. What raises the stock of this restaurant, however, is the ability to be able to get ice cream from the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, located next door AND the ability to view Wishes from the window that faces out onto the Hub.

Regardless of the reason that you are going to the Magic Kingdom, be sure to check out these fabulous experiences that you might be overlooking!
