According to the Disney Parks Blog, “several artists from around the globe submitted their redesigns of Mickey Mouse for consideration. We selected these for being unique and original, and then worked with them to make sure their versions of Mickey were a perfect balance of the Artist’s interpretation while keeping Mickey’s character integrity. We selected gender-neutral, streetwear-inspired silhouettes that could really showcase the unique artwork”. You can find the new clothing at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, and on shopDisney.com!

The next chosen designer is Rafael Faria, who also works on “creating exclusive and memorable projects at The Walt Disney Company Brazil”. According to the blog post, “His passion goes beyond paper, shaping 2-D and 3-D creations ranging from creatures, mountains, valleys, and lakes, drawing inspiration from nature” Rafael went for a more eclectic take on Mickey designs than Deborah did.
