Changes to Halloween Festivities Expected at Disneyland Theme Park This Year

With events planned across all Disney locations, the Halloween spirit appears to carry a significant weight in engaging fans globally and maintaining the unique magic associated with Disneyland theme parks.

Disneyland pushes back Halloween event start date

Hong Kong Disneyland has announced a delay in the start date for its annual Halloween festivities. Originally scheduled to launch earlier in September, the event will now begin on September 13.

Despite this pushback, the Halloween celebrations will remain ongoing until October 31. The event has remained a staple of Disneyland’s seasonal offerings, creating an atmosphere filled with decorations, themed merchandise, and exciting entertainment options.

Other Disney parks have also reported similar delays in their Halloween schedules, highlighting a trend across the brand’s global locations.

Disneyland Resort hosts Oogie Boogie Bash Halloween event

Among the major attractions for the season, the Disneyland Resort will feature the much-anticipated Oogie Boogie Bash, categorized as a separately ticketed event.

This exclusive party draws considerable attention each year, making ticket acquisition competitive. For the 2024 Halloween season, several unique offerings, such as treat trails and special character sightings, will be available to attendees. The event will provide a variety of themed entertainment and is designed to immerse guests in the Halloween spirit like never before.

Notably, tickets for prior years sold out rapidly, indicating high demand and enthusiasm surrounding the Oogie Boogie Bash.

Walt Disney World introduces new offerings

Walt Disney World is also expanding its Halloween festivities with updated experiences this year. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, a family-friendly event, will return.

This year’s offerings will include new features designed to enhance the overall guest experience. The event, running from mid-August to October 31 as a ticketed experience, will offer activities such as trick-or-treating, special character meet-and-greets, and entertainment like themed parades and fireworks displays.

Guest satisfaction has traditionally been high for this event, marking it as a key attraction during the Halloween season at Walt Disney World.

Hong Kong Disneyland confirms event return

Hong Kong Disneyland is marking its calendar for Halloween with an exciting return of its customary celebrations. Set to kick off on September 13, the park will feature the much-loved show “Let’s Get Wicked,” along with dining options like the Nightmare Before Dinner experience.

While preparations continue, certain park attractions will temporarily close in order to facilitate the new Halloween offerings. The park has also confirmed that classic favorites, such as House of De Vil-lains, will enhance the Halloween atmosphere for guests.
