It’s making national news, and our taste buds aren’t thrilled about it. The beloved, iconic Choco Taco is reportedly gone for good. Well… not quite. That’s where Disney steps in!
The delicious Klondike product is known as the “Choco Taco.” It’s a taco-shaped waffle cone that holds vanilla ice cream and nostalgia. The chocolate taco product is being discontinued. That’s right… pure deliciousness – GONE!
A Klondike Brand representative reported to CNN, “Over the past 2 years, we have experienced an unprecedented spike in demand across our portfolio and have had to make very tough decisions to ensure availability of our full portfolio nationwide. We know this may be very disappointing.”
With the Choco Taco discontinued our tastebuds are craving the next best thing… and it looks like Disney is delivering!
Salt & Straw Ice Cream Shop is located at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. The shop recently opened at Disney Springs in Disney World, with the Disneyland shop open at Downtown Disney District.

Great news, Disney fans, the Choco Taco won’t be too far out of reach after all!
Salt & Straw brilliantly took to social media to share:
“When one freezer door closes, another one opens. Mark your calendars for National Taco Day 10/4/22. #chocotaco #tacotuesday”
While details of what Salt & Straw’s Choco Taco may be filled with or how much the product will cost – we do know we are marking October 4, 2022, on our calendars for a visit to Disney to snag one!
Disney describes the Salt & Straw Ice Cream Shop as follows: “Discover taste-provoking ice cream at this family-run scoop shop! Stop by for their ever-evolving menu, created in collaboration with chefs, farmers, food movements, social causes and more.”
It sounds like a new Choco Taco frozen treat needs to be added to the description as we hope this delicious bite will stick around past “Taco Tuesday” in October!
