Christmas Removed From Disney World Florida Location

Guests visiting Disney Springs may have noticed a change. Construction walls have recently appeared around Disney’s Days of Christmas, one of Walt Disney World Resort’s year-round holiday shops.

Days of Christmas, located in Disney Springs, has long been a favorite spot for visitors to purchase Christmas ornaments, décor, and other holiday-themed items all year round. It is the largest of the 24/7/365 Christmas shops at Walt Disney World Resort, alongside smaller shops like Die Weihnachts Ecke in the Germany World Showcase Pavilion at EPCOT and Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom. The Disney parks and resorts also offer limited selections of holiday merchandise, but Days of Christmas has always been the central location for all things festive.

However, according to WDWNT, construction walls have recently blocked off part of the store’s exterior. The light blue barriers have been set up around the building, preventing guests from accessing a large area near the cast member entrance. A green “Disney Springs” barricade has been placed, keeping visitors from getting too close to the construction area. These walls appear to be part of minor refurbishments outside the store, including painting and other exterior updates.

Despite the construction walls, there’s no reason to worry about missing out on Christmas shopping. Walt Disney World Resort’s website confirms that the Days of Christmas store remains open and operational. While the construction may slightly alter the experience, the store’s Christmas magic is still available for those looking to buy ornaments and festive décor.

The rest of Walt Disney World Resort’s Christmas celebrations remain as enchanting as ever, with the parks and resorts transforming into a winter wonderland each year. Although Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa won’t have its life-sized gingerbread house this year due to lobby construction, other holiday offerings like Disney Jollywood Nites at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom continue to offer exclusive entertainment, shorter attraction wait times, and festive snacks.

The Days of Christmas store in Disney Springs is still open for guests to enjoy, but minor exterior refurbishments are in progress. Be sure to check the My Disney Experience app or the official Walt Disney World Resort website for the most up-to-date hours and information.
