Coco’ Characters Take Over New Magic Kingdom Parade: Take a Look!

Fans of Disney’s nighttime parades are in for a treat as Magic Kingdom prepares to debut the Disney Starlight: Dream The Night Away parade, a new spectacle that promises to light up the night and fill the air with Disney magic.

Announced last summer at the D23 Expo by Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro, this parade marks the return of a beloved nighttime tradition that has been missing from the park since the Main Street Electrical Parade concluded its run in 2016.

A Parade Filled with Disney Magic

The Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away Parade will feature a dazzling array of floats, each inspired by some of Disney’s most iconic and beloved films. From Peter Pan (1953) to Frozen (2013), Pinocchio (1940) to Moana (2016), the parade will showcase characters from Disney’s most cherished stories.

Princesses like Cinderella, Belle, Aurora, and Tiana will take center stage on their own float, adding an extra touch of magic to the nighttime event. As the floats glide down Main Street, U.S.A., they will be surrounded by spectacular light displays that bring each film to life in vibrant, glowing detail.

Fans have been waiting for a new nighttime parade for years, and Disney’s efforts to deliver an unforgettable spectacle are clear.

The Exciting New Float from Coco

One of the most anticipated floats in the parade will come from Pixar’s 2017 hit film, Coco. The Coco-themed float will bring the characters Miguel, Dante, and Pepita to life in the most magical way.

The float will feature Miguel standing on the Marigold Bridge, with the colorful Land of the Dead beautifully illuminated behind him. As the float makes its way through the park, the sights and sounds of the movie will be brought to life with fireworks shaped like skulls lighting up the sky, along with the lively mariachi music that makes Coco so unforgettable.
