Disneyland guests visiting in August will need to keep a closer eye on the calendar, especially if Tinker Bell or Haunted Mansion is part of their plans.
Beginning next week, Tinker Bell's availability at Pixie Hollow will be reduced as the location moves to a limited operating schedule. Just days later, Haunted Mansion will close temporarily as Disneyland prepares the attraction for Halloween Time.
Those changes are part of a larger group of closures affecting both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, including several experiences that are already unavailable with no reopening date announced.

Here's what guests need to know before heading to Disneyland Resort.
Tinker Bell Availability Changes August 4
The first notable change arrives August 4 at Pixie Hollow.
Beginning on that date, Pixie Hollow will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays through September 5, 2026. As a result, guests won't be able to visit Tinker Bell at her Pixie Hollow meet-and-greet on those days.
It's important to note that the reduced schedule hasn't started yet. Guests visiting before August 4 aren't currently affected by the upcoming Tuesday and Thursday closures.
Once the change begins, however, families hoping to meet Tinker Bell will need to plan around the limited schedule.
The timing is particularly notable because another longtime Disneyland favorite will close only a few days later.
Haunted Mansion Closes August 8
Disneyland has confirmed that Haunted Mansion will close from August 8 through August 20, 2026.
That makes Friday, August 7, the final day guests can experience the classic version of Haunted Mansion before its annual seasonal transformation.
When the attraction reopens August 21, it will operate as Haunted Mansion Holiday.
The seasonal overlay brings Jack Skellington and other characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) into the attraction as Disneyland transitions into Halloween Time.
Although the temporary closure happens annually, its timing means guests visiting during the middle of August will lose access to one of Disneyland Park's best-known attractions.
Haunted Mansion isn't the only Disneyland classic currently on the closure calendar, either.
Frontierland Shootin' Exposition Already Closed
Frontierland Shootin' Exposition has been unavailable since July 6, 2026.
Disneyland has not announced a reopening date for the longtime Frontierland experience.
Unlike Haunted Mansion, which has a scheduled return, guests currently don't know how long Frontierland Shootin' Exposition will remain unavailable.
Anyone visiting Disneyland Park in the coming weeks should therefore prepare for the possibility that it will remain closed throughout their trip.
Another Main Street Attraction Will Close
The closure calendar becomes even busier two days after Haunted Mansion shuts its doors.
Main Street Cinema will close August 10 and remain unavailable through August 27, 2026.
The Main Street, U.S.A. location is expected to return after that relatively brief refurbishment, but its closure creates additional overlap with other unavailable experiences.
For part of August, Haunted Mansion and Main Street Cinema will both be closed. Frontierland Shootin' Exposition could also remain unavailable during that period.
Combined with the limited Pixie Hollow schedule, guests may notice more unavailable experiences than usual while moving around Disneyland Park.

Disney California Adventure Has Closures of Its Own
Disney California Adventure guests are also dealing with closures.
Silly Symphony Swings has been unavailable since April 27, 2026, and Disney has not announced a reopening date.
More recently, Chiller at Paradise Gardens Park became temporarily unavailable on July 26. There is currently no announced reopening date for that location, either.
That means guests planning to park hop won't necessarily escape the closures by heading across the esplanade.
Avengers Campus Construction Affects Another Route
Construction is also changing how guests move around Disney California Adventure.
The pathway connecting Avengers Campus and Cars Land is closed as work continues on the Avengers Campus expansion.
Guests can still reach both areas, but they'll need to use alternate routes, including the Performance Corridor.
The pathway closure doesn't remove another attraction from the lineup, but it does add one more operational change guests may notice during an August visit.
Disneyland Guests Have Several Dates to Remember
August will bring several changes in a short period.
Pixie Hollow's limited operating schedule begins August 4, reducing Tinker Bell's availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays through September 5.
Haunted Mansion follows on August 8, with August 7 serving as the final day for the classic attraction before its Halloween transformation. Main Street Cinema then closes August 10.
Those upcoming changes join several closures already affecting Disneyland Resort, including Frontierland Shootin' Exposition, Silly Symphony Swings, Chiller, and the pathway between Avengers Campus and Cars Land.
For Haunted Mansion fans, the good news is that the attraction won't remain unavailable for long.
Haunted Mansion Holiday opens August 21, bringing the attraction back just under two weeks after its closure begins. But guests hoping to experience the original version before the seasonal takeover have only a few days left.
