The Pete's Silly Sideshow refurbishment at Magic Kingdom Park is wrapping up piece by piece, revealing a stunningly refreshed version of the Fantasyland circus tent.
New Fabric, Repainted Sign, More Work Ahead

On Monday, WDWNT reported that Walt Disney World Resort had removed the scrim covering the tent walls at Pete's Silly Sideshow, revealing that the worn and faded fabric had been replaced with bright new pink and red material.
The visual transformation is striking compared to the tired exterior the circus tent had been showing before the January closure. Disney cast members were also spotted working near the Pete's Silly Sideshow sign, which appears to have been repainted, with refreshed support poles visible alongside it.

Some work remains. Scaffolding is still in place on the backside of the tent walls, and construction barriers continue to surround the building. The character meet-and-greet banners that previously advertised the four characters housed inside — Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, and Goofy — have been removed from the sign and haven't returned yet, though they're likely being refreshed to match the structure's updated look.
Walt Disney World Resort has not announced a reopening date for Pete's Silly Sideshow.
What Triggered the Closure

The refurbishment has been underway since January, when the four character meet-and-greets inside the circus tent closed to allow for structural work on the building. The original tent roof — visibly torn and faded — was removed early in the process, and Magic Kingdom Park guests watched as a brand-new roof was installed in its place. The wall fabric replacement revealed this week confirms the refurbishment extended well beyond just the roof.
The attached Big Top Souvenirs gift shop, which is also housed inside a tent structure, remains closed for its own concurrent refurbishment.
Where to Find the Characters Now

Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, and Goofy are all still available for meet-and-greets in other areas of Storybook Circus while Pete's Silly Sideshow remains closed. Guests can check the My Disney Experience app or pick up an official Magic Kingdom Park entertainment schedule for the most current locations and timing for the modified character greetings.
