Disney Adult Takes Aurora Fandom to Another Level

It can be challenging to portray a Disney princess and express one’s love for Disney without being accused of violating Disney dress codes (if you’re visiting the Disney Parks, that is) and without feeling like a cookie-cutter copy of other Disney fans after buying a run-of-the-mill Disney princess costume for Halloween.

However, sometimes a Disney Adult or Disney princess enthusiast meets this challenge with extra flair — and a Russian cosplayer just blew other Disney fans away with her version of Sleeping Beauty!

Is This the Best Disney Princess Cosplay?

Self-proclaimed “princess” Christabel (@odettecrystal) has created many hyper-realistic Disney princess or fairy tale heroine cosplay looks that leave her fans awestruck.

The blogger and cosplayer has just shared a particularly stunning Aurora look, however!

In the Instagram post shown below, Christabel is wearing her own gorgeous take on the classic Aurora ballgown from the end of the 1959 Disney movie called Sleeping Beauty

Is It Pink? Is It Blue?

Aurora’s dress is obviously usually pink or blue, due to a certain disagreement between her fairy friends, but Christabel’s version of the Disney princess gown is a unique shimmering hue that’s closer to purple than either traditional Sleeping Beauty dress color.

Many Disney Fanatics or Disney Adults will already know that cosplay can be a surprisingly serious (and expensive) business, but an extravagant and accurate look like Christabel’s is not the norm.

To Disneybound or Not To Disneybound

Instead, many Disney fans lean towards the much easier and far less costly practice called Disneybounding, which involves wearing a regular outfit that casually represents a favorite Disney character through color schemes or accessories instead of a full costume.

Disneybounding is a common activity among Disney Adults and Disney influencers, but with Disney Parks’ strict dress codes, it can be a challenge to represent a Disney character without breaking any rules — and unfortunately, the new version of one popular Disney princess has just made Disneybounding even harder!

If you had the time and money to invest in a truly spectacular Aurora outfit like Christabel’s, would you choose to take up cosplaying or would you rather stick to Disneybounding on your Disney vacations?
