Where there is a Disney Theme Park, there is bound to be a Disney influencer either live streaming or creating some other content for his or her platform. And for better or worse, these streamers can have their work complicated by the other Guests.

In one recent instance, a woman who goes by Mal (@mally_mouse) was attempting to stream her recent experience on Splash Mountain at Disneyland for her Twitch and TikTok following when a kid in front of her decided to stick his hand outside the boat and begin splashing her with the water. Seeing the kid not only break one of the cardinal rules of Disney rides–keep hands and feet inside the vehicle–but also disrupt her video caused the Disney Adult to get very irate really quick.

In a video that appears to have been taken down, the streamer lectured the kid and his dad, saying,

“There are security cameras on all the rides, and Cast Members will not hesitate to call you out on it over the intercom or when you get off the ride in person. You are directly breaking their rules and safety protocol by sticking your little fingers in the water where it could be pinched and broken in between the log and the wall.”

“It’s bad enough that I have to brace for it and cover everything right as we’re going down the hill,” she continued, calling the Splash Mountain water disgusting, “but for somebody to catch me off guard and just throw it at my face and my camera is like… It’s not even that they were breaking safety protocol because, like, that’s your consequences to deal with, not mine. But it’s the fact that they blindly did that with strangers sitting behind them. Like, think it through next time, please.”

This is only the latest time that the rules governing the placement of Guests’ hands and feet during rides have been broken. We at Disney Fanatic have reported several instances on both Splash Mountain and “it’s a small world.”

Disneyland describes Splash Mountain on its website as the following:

A Hare-Raising Adventure

Hop inside a hollow log and float through a colorful bayou as you follow happy-go-lucky Br’er Rabbit to his “laughing place.” But be warned: Br’er Bear and Br’er Fox are in hot pursuit of this wayward hare.

Glide past over 100 talking, singing, storytelling Audio-Animatronics critters who inhabit Splash Mountain and offer up their own slice of down-home culture. Sing along to classic Disney ditties, including “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah.”

Then, brace yourself for the big finale—this musical cruise ends in a thrilling 5-story splashdown!

Disneyland’s Splash Mountain, along with its sister at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, will be closed and rethemed to the Princess and the Frog-inspired Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

We at Disney Fanatic will continue to update our readers on Disney Parks news and stories as more developments come to light.
