During the reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, Guests have been able to experience seeing their favorite Disney characters in all new ways through character cavalcades and flotillas around the Walt Disney World parks and resorts. At today’s Destination D23 event at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, we learned of a brand new cavalcade coming soon to Walt Disney World and we can’t wait to share the details!

The newest cavalcade will be called the “Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade,” which will debut in the Magic Kingdom later this winter following the success and popularity of other character cavalcades in the Magic Kingdom.
Special for the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort, the newest cavalcade will feature a whole host of new and returning characters, some of which we have not seen in the Magic Kingdom since before the parks closed at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. The characters Guests can expect to see in the new cavalcade include: Nick and Judy from “Zootopia,” Baloo and King Louie from “The Jungle Book,” José Carioca and Panchito from “The Three Caballeros,” Miguel from “Coco,” plus Merida, Moana, The Incredibles, and more!
The Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade features the most characters in a single cavalcade to date. The storyline of the cavalcade is that all of these characters are setting out for an exciting journey through the Magic Kingdom.
While we are also very excited to welcome back the Festival of Fantasy Parade, the character cavalcades have made for fun surprises as they are unscheduled and you never know when you may stumble upon characters out and about in the parks!
We do not have a set date for the start of the new Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade, but will keep you updated here on Disney Fanatic as we learn more about new and returning entertainment at the Walt Disney World Resort.
