The Walt Disney Company has 100 years of magic under its belt, and its subsidiary, Pixar, has been cranking out iconic animated films since 1995.
Personifying inanimate objects, emotions, ghosts, and more, Pixar has cut to the core of our souls while mystifying us with high-tech animations. With the hit show “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!” as an Animal Kingdom staple, it’s clear that Disney Parks could always use more Pixar—especially more Pixar shows.
Disney is known for Broadway-caliber performances throughout its global Parks, and the prospect of a gaggle of Pixar stars taking the stage with a full-blown orchestra sounds like a Disney dream. It turns out that dream is becoming a reality at Disneyland Paris, and it’s taking the stage sooner than you think.
A Musical Pixar Adventure
In a previous announcement, Disney gave fans a glimpse at concept art for the all-new show heading to Disneyland Paris called “Together: A Pixar Musical Adventure.” The image included Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie from Toy Story (1995) and Mike Wazowski and Sully from Monsters, Inc. (2001). With an official date announced for the Pixar extravaganza to arrive on July 15 at Walt Disney Studios Park, Disney shared even more fan favorites coming “together” for the big show.
The lovable yet grumpy Carl Fredricksen and his ole pal Dug from Up (2009) will be making appearances. A first look at the show’s poster also includes Coco (2017) and friends from Finding Nemo (2003). An onsite Disneyland Paris expert, DLP Report, shared even more exclusive images and videos of “Together: A Pixar Musical Adventure” on Twitter, including an immersive Finding Nemo set:
