It’s wild to think back to March 2020 when COVID-19 caused a massive amount of closures across the globe. Now, over two years later, we’re still seeing experiences reopen at Walt Disney World Resort.
When Walt Disney World closed at the end of the business day on March 15, 2020, due to the growing COVID pandemic, we Disney fans had absolutely no clue what would come of the Disney Parks and Resorts.
Since Disney’s phased reopening in the Summer of 2020, we’ve seen a slow return of beloved fan favorites across the Parks and Resorts. With the return of parades, stage shows, and now character hugs and high five returning this month, it’s been an emotional roller coaster, to say the least!
And while several dining experiences have yet to return such as 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at EPCOT, and so on… we celebrate BIG when a restaurant reopens.
That’s why it’s no surprise to see Cast Members taking to social media to celebrate the reopening of Spyglass Grill at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort on April 14, 2022!
Walt Disney World Cast and Community shared the message, “It’s time to set sail for a culinary adventure today as we celebrate the reopening of Spyglass Grill at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort! Congratulations to our Cast who can’t wait for you to join us for a treasure trove of classic American fare with bold island flavors.”
Spyglass Grill is a quick-service restaurant at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort that offers an American fare with a Caribbean twist for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that can quickly be Mobile Ordered for Guests staying at the Disney Resort or those visiting the Skyliner Resort.
The dining experience is a convenient walk-up counter nestled in the Trinidad pool area, with a patio overlooking Barefoot Bay.
Disney describes Spyglass Grill as “Breezy Bites and Sips” with:
Satisfy your appetite—morning, noon and night—with bold flavors of the islands.
Breakfast: Signature items range from the breakfast Cuban sandwich and Trinidad Sunrise Crispy Yuca Bowl to plenty of grab-and-go options like seasonal fruit and steel-cut oatmeal.
Lunch and Dinner: When your hunger is magnified, go for the Caribbean tacos with your choice of mojo pork or black beans. Craving a lighter dish? The chopped jerk chicken salad with red bell peppers, mango and Key Lime Vinaigrette is sure to hit the spot.
Enhance the laid-back poolside vibe with a tasty tonic—frozen alcoholic and non-alcoholic tropical favorites, wine and a selection of ice-cold beer are readily available.
