Cast Members Swarm Disney Guest, Police Summoned After Mysterious Incident

Police were called to the entrance of Disneyland Resort yesterday following an incident.

Try as he might, Mickey Mouse can’t control everything that happens on Disney property. We’ve witnessed a string of bizarre incidents at Disney parks over the years, ranging from a guest clambering from their boat on “it’s a small world” and stripping naked to multiple inebriated guests attempting to scale EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion.

More recently, a man was arrested at Disney Springs and later charged with trespassing after causing chaos within The Polite Pig when he was cut off. In December, two sisters were also seized by police at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in the wake of a violent fight inside their hotel room.

Incident Leads to Arrest at Disneyland Resort

On Friday afternoon, another incident occurred at Disneyland Resort.

Guests visiting Walt Disney’s OG theme park destination in Anaheim spotted a man on a scooterĀ encircled by cast members – including a member of Disneyland security – at the resort entrance.

Most notably, the guest is shown with their shorts seemingly pulled halfway down their thighs while sitting on their scooter.

The incident occurred at around 3:45 p.m. A guest detailed the incident on Reddit, where they revealed that a guest was arrested.

“Saw this walking in the park today,” they wrote. “Cast members stood around the guy making a perimeter. then as we were walking in two more people came out who I can only assume to be with the guy because they were also surrounded.”

Judging by the guest’s shorts situation, Reddit users took a few educated guesses at what went down.

“[The Custodial cast member has] got gloves on and seems to be kind of blocking the view,” one wrote. “Considering his pants are halfway down, I bet there is something unfortunate she has to clean up and that’s why he’s being detained/arrested.”

The guest was allegedly arrested for public intoxication, according to another Disneyland guest who witnessed the incident.

If public intoxication was indeed the issue, it wouldn’t be the first time a guest has faced legal consequences.

Back in 2024, two intoxicated guests were arrested after a violent altercation at Downtown Disney, Disneyland’s onsite shopping and dining district.

That same year, a “very drunk” man was physically restrained by Disney security cast members, and Fantasyland was partially closed after he assaulted multiple cast members. He also allegedly tried to physically fight police officers, who eventually put him in a wheelchair to push him out of the Disney park.

It goes without saying that violence and harassment are banned on Disney property. As requested on the Disneyland Resort website, “Please show common courtesy to fellow Guests and our Cast Members by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behavior.”

Guests have shared their concerns about the increasing rate of public intoxication at Disney parks in recent years.

While boozy beverages were once rare on Disney property – as per Walt Disney’s own mandate – guests can now easily secure alcohol within Disneyland Park at Blue Bayou Restaurant and the currently closed Oga’s Cantina (and, if you’re one of the elite, Club 33), plus multiple locations within Disney California Adventure Park.
