On Sunday, a viral video from Disneyland Resort quickly caught the attention of Disney Parks fans worldwide. In it, a beloved character appeared to be in distress in front of numerous Disney Park guests. However, as the video reveals, things weren’t exactly as they initially seemed…
The video, shared by TikTok user @k.inla, shows Grogu (fondly known as Baby Yoda among Star Wars fans) spinning violently in the water near Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Park. The concerned guest wrote, “Please help him,” as Grogu struggled to stay above the water.

While it looked like Baby Yoda was in peril, the truth of the situation was much less dramatic. Thankfully, the Disney character in distress was just a lost toy. It appears that Grogu got sucked into some kind of underwater jet or filter system, possibly one used for the World of Color – One nighttime show.
It remains unclear whether the toy was dropped into the water intentionally or by mistake, but either way, the video quickly went viral, accumulating over 50,000 likes and comments. Fans on TikTok couldn’t help but joke about the toy’s Disney Park adventure.
“Baby yoda said: you spin me right round like a record baby,” @queen1ep1ayz quipped.
“A few years ago I watched a barf bag spinning in there and thought THAT was hilarious,” @hell__here wrote. “This is next level.”
Of course, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort guests should never intentionally pollute waterways or other restricted areas. However, accidents do happen, and the resorts have systems in place to recover lost personal items.
If one of your belongings ends up in an inaccessible area at any Disney park, it’s important to never try to retrieve it yourself. Instead, notify the nearest Disney cast member, who can file a report and arrange for the appropriate team to search for it. While it can sometimes take days for lost items to be recovered, guests are encouraged to file a report with Disney’s lost and found department to be notified when their item is recovered.
