Disneyland Resort is known for its incredible food offerings that bring both magic and flavor to your theme park experience. From the iconic Monte Cristo sandwiches to hand-dipped pickle corn dogs, Disney’s dining options have long been a highlight for park-goers of all ages. But recently, families visiting two popular Disneyland dining spots have encountered a surprise: the reduction of kids’ menu items.

At Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta in Disney California Adventure and Alien Pizza Planet in Disneyland Park, kids’ menu options have been significantly altered, with two key items—the beloved mini personal pizzas—removed entirely from the menu. These personal pizzas were a perfect portion for younger guests, often paired with healthy sides like carrot sticks or a yogurt smoothie.
While the specific reasons behind the removal of these pizzas remain unclear, industry insiders suggest it could be due to lower demand or perhaps cost-related factors. Disney has not officially commented on the decision, but if kids weren’t regularly ordering the small pizzas, it’s understandable why Disney might have restructured the offerings.
However, it’s not all bad news for families. Both locations still feature options for younger guests, even if they’re a little different. At Boardwalk Pizza, kids can enjoy a dish of spaghetti with turkey meatballs, served with a Cuties mandarin orange, yogurt, and a drink. Meanwhile, Alien Pizza Planet has made slight adjustments to its menu, offering favorites like macaroni and cheese and space-getti with meatballs—both paired with carrots, a Cuties mandarin, and a choice of milk or water.
While the removal of personal pizzas might sting for some, there are still plenty of great options around the resort for children. For example, Flo’s V8 Café offers a fun and delicious Chicken Fenders dish, while Smokejumpers Grill serves up a tasty Double Basecamp Burger. And don’t forget Aunt Cass Café, which features a delicious turkey sandwich and macaroni and cheese, just perfect for younger diners.

In addition to the standard menus, Disneyland is adding some fun seasonal flair to its dining offerings for the 70th anniversary celebration. The limited-time Kids Pick menu includes fun treats such as the Celebration Macaroooon at Alien Pizza Planet and the Mickey Hat Cookie from Jolly Holiday Bakery and Café—perfect for little ones looking to snack in true Disney fashion.
While the recent cuts to the kids’ menu at Boardwalk Pizza and Alien Pizza Planet may disappoint some, there’s still no shortage of fun and flavorful dining experiences to be had at Disneyland Resort. Whether you’re enjoying a snack or a full meal, there are still plenty of options for the younger members of the family to enjoy.
