Lilo & Stitch Plot Hole Fixed by Disney
Fans have noted very few issues with this Disney movie. But the reality is that they still had some questions about some of the occurrences within Lilo & Stitch.
Primarily, many were confused about Stitch’s ability to so quickly pick up on English, a language that he’d presumably never heard and almost surely never spoken before, and become fluent.
However, in a recent comic release, Disney has finally backed up Stitch’s amazing ability to pick up on skills as quickly as he did within the movie. Here’s what we know.

As reported by ScreenRant, Disney just released a Lilo & Stitch comic that addresses this. In Lilo & Stitch #1 by Greg Pak and Giulia Giacomino, we follow our two beloved leads shortly after the events of the first film concluded. In the comic, it’s implied that Lilo encouraged Stitch to pick up artwork to help him process his emotions better.
In the sweet sketches Stitch makes, the audience catches up on the timeline of the comic and establishes how long it’s been since the events of the first movie. However, we also then understand precisely how talented Stitch is at picking up new skills.
Stitch is obviously able to learn new skills incredibly quickly, therefore explaining how he was able to communicate with Lilo as easily as he was in the first Lilo & Stitch Disney film.

This development also has us incredibly excited for the upcoming live-action since, historically, Disney has used its live-action remakes as an opportunity to expand on the world of the animated original further and build more context for the characters and story.
If Disney is making this much of a concentrated effort to drive home these small details, we’re certain the live-action is going to live up to the original!
At this moment, we have no release date for this upcoming live-action remake from Walt Disney Pictures, inspired by the Walt Disney Feature Animation original. However, it’s one that many fans are eagerly awaiting more news on the movie.
The Lilo & Stitch Disney film will be directed by Dean Fleischer Camp. It was written by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and produced by Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich.
