Magic Kingdom Park at the Walt Disney World Resort is filled with iconic attractions adored by generations of Guests, from Peter Pan’s Flight and “it’s a small world,” to Pirates of the Caribbean, and Space Mountain. But for one reason or another, unexpected interruptions in ride operations are bound to happen. Normally, these issues last no more than a few minutes or hours, and Cast Members are able to reopen the ride later in the day. But other times, technical issues that are mysterious to us on the outside leave the site shuttered for multiple days at a time.
Such was the current situation for The Haunted Mansion in Liberty Square.
Recent reports indicated that the classic dark ride attraction suffered an unexpected multiday closure for technical issues. But, a look at the MyDisneyExperience App shows the attraction is back up and running, with a wait time already exceeding 60 minutes.
We at Disney Fanatic report on Disney Ride closures because we understand how important it is for would-be Guests to be able to experience their favorite attractions when they spend copious amounts of time and money to visit The Most Magical Place On Earth, and we want to ensure that all of our readers go into their Theme Park days with the right expectations. This now-resolved situation serves as a reminder for all of us to continuously check the MyDisneyExperience app for the status of our favorite rides, shows, and other attractions before beginning your Disney day. After all, the only thing worse than learning a ride is closed is learning it by surprise from the Cast Member at the queue entrance.
