Disney Hosts A ‘Little Mermaid’ Wedding

Now that we know Disney weddings aren’t actually as expensive as most people have assumed they are, Disney has become more and more desirable for Disney fans who want unique, intricate, but stress-free weddings in Disney Parks. Themed weddings are becoming more and more on-trend, too, so (unsurprisingly) many engaged couples are choosing to embrace certain Disney movies or Disney characters — and one recent Disney wedding was full of nods to Ariel, aka the Little Mermaid.

Disney Fairy Tale Weddings has just shared some details from a Little Mermaid wedding on Instagram, showing how any mermaid-loving engaged brides and grooms can incorporate some fun Ariel details into their magical days! The caption reads: “This Little Mermaid themed wedding is as bold and beautiful as #Ariel. ?‍♀️ Did you know you can plan a #DisneyPrincess themed wedding with @DisneyWeddings?”

The wedding dress worn by a bride during a Disney wedding is just as crucial as a wedding dress worn in any other wedding — but since Disney has a special Disney Fairy Tale Wedding collection with Allure Bridal that has just become its biggest and most wide-ranging collection yet (with wedding gowns representing multiple Disney princesses), a Disney princess wedding dress is particularly apropos here!

The bride for this Disney wedding appears to have chosen, of course, one of the Ariel wedding gowns from the Allure Bridals collection. According to the Allure Bridals website, “this A-line gown features stunning organza ruffles inspired by ocean waves and Ariel’s sense of adventure”. The dress also includes an “off-the-shoulder sweetheart bodice [that is] covered in pearl beading, crystals, and sequins” reminiscent of seashells.

Seashells were also incorporated into the food and table decor at this wedding! Take a look at the clamshell macarons and seashells tablescape shown above! Snacks like these would be a great way to enhance a mermaid-themed party — not just a wedding.

Purple and green are Ariel’s signature colors — even though they don’t necessarily go together in most people’s wardrobes — so incorporating those into Little Mermaid wedding decor is a great way to instantly tell Disney fans which Disney princess has inspired a wedding theme or a party theme!
