Disney Reveals Spring Wedding Trends

Disney Fairy Tale Weddings are magical all year-round — but there’s something special about spring, and the Disney Fairy Tale Wedding Ever After blog has shared some of the best ways to pull off a gorgeous spring wedding this year! “Fresh blooms, pastel hues, and warm weather set the scene for springtime weddings,” according to the blog, which also tapped the expertise of a Floral Designer to identify the emerging wedding trends (for Disney weddings and other weddings).

According to Heather, the Floral Designer, this spring’s “floral trends [will] lean towards a loose and airy feel…very organic with complementary greenery.” Disney Fairy Tale Weddings is predicting that purple will be the predominant wedding color for this spring season, including “lavender hues” and “deeper purple tones” in the color palette.

“Lavender is a fantastic option for couples interested in incorporating purple at their Spring wedding,” Heather said in the blog post. “It includes varieties like stock and roses which grow in varying shades spanning from subtle lavender tones, to those with pink tints and even some with a vintage, dusty feel.”

For brides and grooms wanting a more moody, bold wedding, she added that “dark shades of plum and eggplant-colored flora like mini calla lilies and ranunculus are beautiful in bold and dark arrangements, but also when paired with lighter shades of floral.”

For a nice in-between like royal purple, the Floral Designer recommends “lisianthus or delphinium”!

Flowers don’t have to be restricted to the scenery and venue at a wedding, however. This spring, Disney is predicting that floral menu items will become a trend! Floral cocktails are easy to make and automatically eye-catching. Floral garnishings are also a budget-friendly option if you choose flora that’s in season, local, and less popular.

Freezing some flower petals in ice cubes is an easy way to elevate a beverage, and Disney is even predicting that some engaged couples might choose “a garden-themed menu” or “an interactive station like a salad wall”!

Outdoor venues are an obvious choice for spring weddings or summer weddings, but Disney Weddings is recommending that couples add comfy indoor features to their outdoor venues. Umbrellas for shade and furniture for lounging will add a unique touch that can also provide refuge from the sun (or from temperamental spring weather)!

While revealing their 2022 wedding trend predictions earlier in 2022, Disney Weddings already revealed that “non-traditional wedding entertainment” is now a huge trend in the wedding industry. Interactive wedding receptions are all the rage, with magicians and entertainers being in high demand — and if it’s a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding that you’re set on having, then you’ll have plenty of opportunities to add some unique entertainment to your wedding night!

When it comes to Disney wedding dresses, a Disney bride can have her pick — because Allure Bridals, the purveyor of the one official collection of Disney princess wedding dresses, has just launched its biggest and most varied collection yet!
