Disney magic is always in the air in Disney California Adventure — but love was also in the air there recently when one young couple chose to marry in a particularly unique Disney Fairy Tale Wedding venue that paid homage to classic Disney animated movies!

Disney Fairy Tale Weddings’ Ever After blog shared photos from a gorgeous, multi-dimensional Disney wedding that was held in Disney’s Animation Building.

Disney’s Animation Building might sound like a strange choice compared to some more popular Disney wedding ceremony and reception locations, but this couple might have had the right idea after all — because apparently, getting married in a building filled with artwork from multiple Disney movies means that a couple gets to have more than one Disney theme in their wedding!

For example, we can see in the picture above that the bride Ashley and the groom Jon were able to celebrate their romance and their love in a Tangled setting that showed off romantic, ethereal aesthetics and matched the 2010 movie’s romantic song “I See the Light”. But then, the couple was able to shift gears and pose for wedding photos with Sleeping Beauty (aka Aurora) on display in the Sleeping Beauty area!

Why choose just one wedding theme and color scheme when you can have multiple themes and styles? The bride and groom also got to embrace the elegant gold-focused aesthetic from Beauty and the Beast locations like the library!

The ceremony and reception were mainly held in a room that included “continuously changing animation projected on hanging panels of various sizes that [lent] life, movement and fantasy to wedding festivities”. Any Disney Cruise Line Guests will recognize a similar feature in the Animator’s Palate restaurant!

The couple could then explore outside in Disney California Adventure and pose in front of Disney attractions like Peter Pan’s Flight — but they also got to celebrate their wedding with an unexpected character: Tarzan!

Although the 1999 movie Tarzan might not seem like an obvious choice for a wedding theme (especially since Tarzan is currently vacating Disneyland), the powerful soundtrack and the romance between Jane and Tarzan is one that could definitely be welcome at a wedding reception. The jungle scenery also works surprisingly well as one of the many available backdrops for the happy couple!

If you’re part of an engaged couple and you’re struggling to choose what kind of Disney wedding you might want (with or without the help of Disney wedding planners or wedding coordinators, and whether or not you’re just daydreaming about a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding), then keep Disney’s Animation Building in mind!

This unexpected venue clearly allows a wedding to include lots of beloved Disney characters — and since you’re also getting more than one wedding theme to enjoy in one night, you’re getting more bang for your buck! Would you rather getting married at Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort, and which Disney Park would you prefer to get married in if you chose Walt Disney World Resort: the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, the Animal Kingdom, or Hollywood Studios?
