A viral poster raises questions about Disney remaking ‘The Land Before Time’

Earlier this week, Facebook user YOGA BBY ABY posted a posted of a new remake of The Land Before Time from Disney and Pixar. The caption read, “Disney and Pixar join forces to bring you a dazzling remake of The Land Before Time, where Littlefoot and friends journey through lush landscapes and encounter enchanting surprises.”

Seeing as this movie was a classic and was beloved by people all over the world, many fans were extremely excited at the possibility of this coming to fruition, while others were less enthused.

The Disney Pixar Land Before Time Remake is Decidedly Fake

Before delving into how fans felt about this, it’s important to note one important thing. The poster is decidedly a fake.

As many fans also noted in the comments, this poster was most certainly not real, and not from Disney. For a start, the original movie was made by Universal, and it’s unlikely (though stranger things have certainly happened) that they would sell the rights to Disney.

Universal stopped working on the series after releasing its 14th film in 2016, and while a reboot might be a good idea, seeing that fans were excited about its prospect, as of this moment, nothing official has been announced.

Despite this, fans were very concerned about the possibility of the movie and shared their thoughts.

One user commented, “I don’t know if you guys know this, but one can still enjoy the original. As far as I know, they aren’t deleting it from existence or traveling back in time to change it.”

Many agreed with this, especially in light of Disney having multiple live-action remakes that have missed the mark with many fans. On the other hand, many expressed their excitement at seeing this come to pass, though they noted they would prefer to see the original animation style of the movie rather than Disney/Pixar’s reported changed style.
