As the peak of spring break nears, Walt Disney World Resort is gearing up for what’s expected to be another jam-packed season.

With only weeks to go before spring break, Disney is bracing for heavy crowds. Recent data highlights Orlando as one of the top-searched destinations for the season, making it clear that the resort is set for a busy period. The only wildcard now is Florida’s unpredictable weather, with a series of cold fronts expected to move through in the coming days.
According to Florida Review, the busiest stretch will fall between March 1 and March 23, meaning the crowds are set to flood into the parks in just a few short weeks.

Spring break is notorious for bringing high crowd levels to Disney World, serving as the first major rush after the holiday season. Last year marked the debut of Disney’s revamped Lightning Lane system during the holiday rush, and though Disney is still exploring how best to use the service, it has performed well thus far.
The premium-tier Lightning Lane Premier Pass, Disney’s all-inclusive option for expedited attraction entry, sold out over multiple days, including an astonishing 10-day stretch spanning Christmas through New Year’s. Despite its high price, the pass has gained traction among guests.

Alongside the Premier Pass, Disney continues to offer the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass, both of which function similarly to the previous Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane selections. One of the most notable changes has been the return of pre-booking attractions, a feature that many guests had missed since the FastPass+ era.
The Premier Pass remains the most expensive option, peaking at $449 for Magic Kingdom. Yet, demand remains strong, with passes selling out on non-holiday dates such as in January and for a nine-day run over Valentine’s Day. Disney has not disclosed how many passes are made available per day, but with the pass now accessible to all guests regardless of resort accommodations, sellouts continue at an accelerated pace.

Looking ahead to the spring break rush, Disney is once again raising prices to meet demand. On various days between March 1 and March 6, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass will reach their record-high prices across all four parks. At Magic Kingdom, the pass will hit $449—the same level seen during Christmas—while pricing for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be set at $349, $249, and $199, respectively.
For those opting for the Premier Pass, the benefit includes one-time Lightning Lane access to all eligible attractions within the selected park. Magic Kingdom guests, for example, will be able to enjoy rides such as TRON Lightcycle / Run, the highly anticipated Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and the timeless Peter Pan’s Flight, plus 17 additional attractions (subject to availability).
