Disney Springs Replaces NBA Experience With Massive New Attraction Opening Summer 2026

A major new addition is finally getting ready to open at Disney Springs, and there’s a very good chance guests are underestimating just how popular it could become.

Level99, an interactive entertainment venue built around physical games, puzzle-solving, competition, and nightlife, is officially set to debut this summer at Walt Disney World. The project has been in development for a while, but excitement has ramped up after new concept art and additional details were recently released.

And honestly, this feels much bigger than just another Disney Springs opening.

Disney Springs already stays crowded throughout much of the year. Weekends can feel especially packed, with long restaurant waits, busy parking garages, and heavy foot traffic throughout the district. But Level99 introduces an entirely different type of attraction that could keep people in the area far longer than usual.

The venue is replacing the old NBA Experience building, which originally opened in 2019 before shutting down not long afterward. While that concept struggled to connect with guests, Level99 feels much broader and far more modern in its appeal.

Instead of focusing on a single sports brand, this experience revolves around social gaming and immersive challenges.

Guests will be able to explore dozens of challenge rooms featuring physical tasks, mental puzzles, and team-based games inside highly themed environments. The company describes it as “real-world, challenge-based social entertainment,” and that honestly sounds like something Disney Springs has needed for a long time.

One reason this opening matters so much is because Disney Springs continues shifting toward entertainment-heavy experiences rather than simply shopping and dining.

Restaurants still dominate the district, of course, but Disney has spent years adding experiences that encourage guests to stay longer after the parks close. Live performances, bars, bowling, and attractions like Drawn to Life have helped transform Disney Springs into more of a nighttime destination.

Level99 fits that strategy perfectly.

The venue’s newly released concept art shows a huge two-story central bar glowing with futuristic lighting effects. It immediately gives the space a more energetic atmosphere compared to some of the quieter areas around Disney Springs.

That visual style alone will likely draw attention.

But the bigger factor could be how long people actually remain inside the venue. Unlike a quick meal or shopping stop, Level99 is built around repeatable gameplay. Guests can move from challenge to challenge while competing with friends or family members, making it easy to spend multiple hours there without realizing it.

That naturally creates larger crowds throughout Disney Springs as a whole.

Nearby restaurants could see additional traffic before and after games. Parking demand may increase at night. Walkways around the West Side could become significantly busier once the venue officially opens.

And summer is probably the perfect time for it.

When the Florida heat becomes overwhelming during the afternoon, indoor entertainment suddenly becomes much more valuable. A giant air-conditioned venue filled with games, food, drinks, and immersive environments checks almost every box for guests looking to escape the weather without ending their Disney day early.

The food lineup also sounds surprisingly strong.

Level99 plans to offer Detroit-style pizza, burgers, cocktails, beers on tap, and shareable snacks designed for groups. That’s important because Disney Springs visitors increasingly want places where they can spend an entire evening instead of hopping between locations.

That’s exactly what this venue appears built to do.

Disney Springs has added plenty of restaurants and stores over the years, but Level99 feels different because it changes how guests may actually use the district itself. Instead of simply visiting Disney Springs after a park day, some guests may begin planning entire evenings around this experience alone.
