One perk of being a member of the Disney Vacation Club is having access to exclusive events and member areas around the Walt Disney World Resort. Guests can find one of the most popular Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member lounges in EPCOT right on the second floor of the Imagination Pavilion.
With availability being announced on an annual basis, and with lots of changes taking place around the Walt Disney World Resort due to its continued reopening from its 2020 closure, some members had been wondering if this DVC lounge would be open throughout 2022.
A report from dvcnews.com confirms that the lounge will be open for the remainder of 2022, as members have seen the details noted in the most recent issue of Disney Files Magazine.
The Imagination Pavilion DVC lounge opened in 2016 and has been a popular spot ever since for Guests with DVC memberships as it gives the only opportunity to head upstairs at the pavilion, an area that some Guests have nostalgia for if they were able to visit EPCOT when the second level was still open to all Guests.
In the pavilion’s earlier days, ImageWorks was located on the second floor where Guests would find interactive activities similar (but not the same as) what is now located downstairs between the exit of the Journey Into Imagination with Figment attraction and the shop. Prior to the second floor’s closure in 1992, Guests would also have been able to walk through the iconic Rainbow Corridor, which is unfortunately not part of the area open to DVC members today at the lounge.
The DVC lounge does still offer spectacular views of EPCOT from a unique vantage point at the top of the period, and like all DVC member lounges, it does come with places to recharge cell phones and relax with complimentary drinks and snacks.
Members can currently visit the lounge daily from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and they can access the area by checking in at the Disney Vacation Club podium in the ImageWorks gift shop.
