Guests returning to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort after a day at the parks may notice that their usual route looks very different right now.
Construction has expanded around the popular EPCOT-area hotel, with Disney blocking off a major entrance and nearby walkways as exterior refurbishment work continues.
The resort itself remains open, but the latest closures could affect how guests travel between Yacht Club, EPCOT, and other destinations around the BoardWalk area.
Construction Takes Over Part of Yacht Club
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and neighboring Disney’s Beach Club Resort have been undergoing extensive refurbishment work since 2025. The latest phase has brought construction walls and scaffolding directly into an area regularly used by guests.
According to recent reports from AllEars, construction walls now surround the back lobby entrance along the walking route from the theme parks. That entrance has been completely closed, with scaffolding also covering portions of the building nearby.
Outdoor walkways around the construction zone have also been blocked.
That could be particularly noticeable for guests returning from EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Both parks are within walking distance of the Yacht and Beach Club area, making pedestrian access one of the biggest advantages of staying at these resorts.
Guests Have Other Ways Inside
While the closure may create some confusion, guests can still access Yacht Club.
Visitors can enter the resort building through neighboring Beach Club. Another option involves continuing beyond the construction area toward the leisure pool or wedding gazebo before entering.
The Yacht Club lobby also remains open, so Disney hasn’t closed the hotel itself. Instead, the refurbishment has temporarily changed how guests reach certain portions of the property.
Guests unfamiliar with the temporary setup may want to follow construction signage carefully, particularly when returning from the parks.
Refurbishment Continues Through Late 2026
The construction isn’t expected to disappear immediately.
Routine exterior refurbishment at Yacht Club is scheduled to continue through late 2026. Beach Club’s exterior maintenance is expected to continue into 2027.
Guests concerned about potential construction noise can also request a quieter room away from the work area at check-in.
For now, Yacht Club remains fully operational, but one of its familiar access points has disappeared behind construction walls. Anyone visiting over the coming months should be prepared for a detour while Disney continues working on the resort.
