Travel through Orlando International Airport (MCO) is expected to hit record highs this year, with 1.43 million passengers projected during a nine-day travel window from June 29 through July 7, according to an airport press release. “A direct comparison of travel numbers from 2024 shows that July 4, 2025, travel will likely lead to another record year,” the statement shared. Sunday, July 6 is predicted to be the busiest travel day, with an estimated 175,000 passengers passing through the terminal.

Inside the parks, Magic Kingdom will be the epicenter of celebration with its two-night fireworks spectacular, Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky, lighting up the skies on July 3 and 4. Additional themed entertainment includes high-energy DJ parties throughout the park, from Frontierland to Tomorrowland, and right in front of Cinderella Castle.

Across the lagoon at EPCOT, the holiday spirit continues with a one-night-only performance of Heartbeat of Freedom, which will follow the regularly scheduled Luminous The Symphony of Us nighttime spectacular on July 4.

Another crowd-pleaser returning in expanded form this year is Voices of Liberty, the beloved a cappella ensemble performing inside The American Adventure Pavilion. Known for their rich harmonies and stirring renditions of patriotic and classic tunes, the group will now perform additional evening shows to accommodate increased attendance.

The Walt Disney World Resort website highlights the experience: “Step into the hallowed halls of The American Adventure Pavilion for an inspiring vocal performance by the Voices of Liberty. Their melodies delight while the rotunda’s acoustically perfect dome amplifies and purifies their sound—you won’t believe your ears! Let your spirits soar during their 15-minute performance of timeless classics.”

Typically ending their last show at 3:45 p.m., the ensemble will extend its schedule on July 4 with added performances at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., joining the lineup which includes 11:15 a.m., 12 p.m., 12:45 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m., and 3:45 p.m.

Although the Fourth of July weekend doesn’t quite match the crowd levels of Christmas or spring break, it’s still a magnet for guests looking to celebrate in true Disney style. From fireworks to live performances, the entire resort is ready to deliver patriotic fun across all four of its theme parks and two water parks.

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his favorite TV show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer except when it's One Tree Hill. He loves sandy beach walks, forest hikes, and foodie days out in the Big City. Thomas lives in England, UK, with his fiancée, baby, and their dog, a Border Collie called Luna.
